@seyuripa

Ur set got no blue tint after replacement? U are quite lucky d then. I'll say most iphone in this region got this problem.
*
I went through all the display sets in Apple store Glasgow and all cameras were with the blue/greenish splotch. I did 6 times of replacement and again all were with this problem. I checked with all my friends' and they are all the same. So it doesnt just affect Maxis and Malaysian sets. As for Seyuripa, unless u take a photo with a white background and post it, I will just take it as you have not tested your camera enough to see the problem.

As what I and some of the forumers had said before, just because all the Iphone4 you tested before got blue tint problem doesn't means that you can Ass"u"me every single Iphone in the market has this problem...it can only proved that you have bad luck at that time thats all

I wouldn't mind if you take it my phone as a problem set but do mind you that I had tested my phone previously with blue tint problem,so I do know what is blue tint on the camera sweat.gif Yes again, blue tint and yellowish spot doesn't only have in Malaysian sets, even some of the overseas set has it if you hardworking enough to search through some of the Iphone forums.

Just got another 2 unit of iPhone from Forumer. 1 is Singapore set week 39 production, another 1 is digi set week 41 production. I open and inspect both also got yellowish screen.

So the comparison with my gf's week 36 production ot during maxis launch and my week 42 production got during klcc roadshow.

GF 36 (no yellow) > Mine 42 (yellow) > digi 41/Singapore 39 (even yellow)

My set is the most recent one but not as yellow as the one I just bought, so might be true the screen gets better over usage. Can't really confirm though. Bought total of 6 iPhone only my GF one no yellow problem but camera same got that blue tint issue.
*
Know what? my friend's screen is nice on the 1st day. after 1 week of usage, it bcum yellow. rclxms.gif

My batch seems perfectly alright. No blue dot nor yellowish, full reception even with death-grip.

hey wassup yo, just ask him for model number before proceeding to COD. If its US set should be MC132LL (blah blah blah ending by LL). ALso what you mean by no unlock set?

When the seller says already unlocked meaning, software unlock @ specific OS so that you can use with M'sia's sim only. If you really plan to bu, bear in mind that you can't update/restore/format your iPhone to the latest version/os available. Once you updated to latest one, the iPhone will get locked and could not be unlock unless there is any unlock tools available that time. So make your right choice.

Let me summarize everything for you.

if you buy: Cant update to latest version unless latest unlock tools if available. If you prefer not upgrade to latest OS then its also feasible. The iPhone is usable even you stay on the old OS.

My thoughts: locked set somehow is troublesome for newbie. Accidentally upgrade will result in transforming into iPod.

Edited: add info --> Consequence from a Locked set : http://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?showtopi...&#entry37419718

Saying that I have not read enough about this issue is a blatant blasphemy. I was the first few to report this issue here in lowyat.net. I have read through so many other forums and I have yet to see a true white background shot with no splotch. Can you show me one to prove me wrong.

Like I have said previously, a picture is worth more than a thousand words. Just take a photo n post it here. Yeah I will take it as I am unlucky. So do you mind showing us your 'lucky' camera shot? If you can't, please stop rubbing salt into people's wound by asking people to go through all the trouble getting a replacement that will most certainly have the splotching issue plus perhaps some other issues or worse still, travelling the whole way to MC only to be shown the door. That is not one bit a helpful/constructive post btw.

Went to pavillion for shopping and just try my luck to visit MC(not eager to get 1 though coz dont like to rush and long Q just for phone).... but bought mine at pavillion KL around 5.45pm Saturday(30th Oct)... only 32gb available and only selling it with contract only ... there isnt any need to line up at all.. it only takes 5 mins to fill up a simple form and proceed with the registration right away after wait them for 10 mins to process my form and come out with a new iphone4 and then pay for it, then move to activation counter and served right away and tadaa.. walk away..... overall process takes ~25mins only (from the time i enter the maxis centre until i leave the maxis centre with my iphone4 activated)

By the way i asked about the stocks at the time i enter the MC, they told me quite alot biggrin.gif.. and the people there are like less than 20 ppl only... inclusive of 4-5 of them lining up at broadband queue.... 4-5 of them lining up to pay bills, 2-3 of them sitting there duno for what(maybe to look at chicks or handsome guy, 2 at iphone4 activation counter(where they activate and cut ur simcard) and therefore left less than 10 ppl for iP4.... the CS told me that 7 phone are in process at that time)

Yup. I went to a lot of places to test their ip4 display uniits. even though the screens are not yellowish, all of the display units do have this blue spot issue

Hey guys do u think it is much more worth it if i'm just buying the iphone4 without signing up for the Ivalue plan?. I'm not that type who uses the phone much in terms of calling , smsing and mmsing. Anyway, any news on which MC has stock? Visited 4 MCs and all no stock. KLCC and Pavillion? Since KLCC is the HQ .

u can always calculate urself. how much do you reload/pay ur bills per month? cheapest ivalue1 12months for 16gb ip4 is 1690+12*(100) = rm2890 not including off-net networks. so rm2890-2290 = rm600. so if u topup/bills is less than rm600 in 1 year (rm50 per month), then it's worth it. dont forget to take data plans into account though

I see , i currently using prepaid and i normally top up RM30 per month. So yeah its not worth it , i guess i will just buy the phone by itself. I heard some MC will give priority to those who wants to sign up for their plan and so those who sign up for the plan will be able to get the phone and to those who just want to purchase to phone will not get the phone first .

ur rm30 per month doesnt include data am i right? add rm18 for 100mb/month. u can go for rm58 for 500mb/month but at that point might as well go for ivalue1 already

unless u dont want a data plan lah. if that's the case, i really suggest an ipod touch

Yea RM 30 without any data plan. Haha ivalue1 i have to take out RM100. I thought of ipod touch before but i want an iphone4 due to the fact the phone meets my criteria like a better camera than the soon to be launched ipod touch if im not mistaken. I could always use the wifi even though i dont have the data plan right? I'm always surrounded with wifi so no point.
