I'm not here to talk about how to get warez ... but just wondering...

WHY do these people do it??
I mean, there are these special groups that are specialised in doing these (such as AXXO for movies and Razor1911 for games) ... BUT WHY??

What do they get back as a return??
They are human too, dont they need a real job and earn a living??

So whats in it for them and why they SPEICALIZE in doing these stuff??

they do it for hobby..

and to build up skill also...

aXXo just re-release scene releases, I think he/she even re-encode them.

The scene groups mostly are doing it for the lulz.

To me, the scene groups do warez mostly for:
1 - fun
2 - challenges of cracking software protections
3 - sharing as in sharing is caring

however there's also lame group that sells their releases for profits, which is considered unethical in the scene.

They have job and live like the rest of us. Some works at big softwares/games retailer (so they can stole game and release it faster on the internet) and some do work as doctor, or lawyer or whatever job you can think of. They also got members working in company like Intel / AMD so they can get hardwares to experiments at low cost. And they also have their own carder to buy expensive softwares/games/utilities illegally.

They get respects, early access to all scene releases and most importantly, they feel damn great they'd able to defeat the so-called uncrackable software protections

LOL. Being cool by releasing warez stuff sounds like an Average Joe. aXXo isn't that famous and others aren't imitating them. There's lots of quality groups before aXXo.

Why do people share/teach/help/become mods on LYN?

Some people love challenges
and the demand for their 'services' or 'skills' are quite high

heard of sharing is caring. Only person dont like to share will say what u just said. First not everyone so rich like u everyday spend few hundreds on CD & DVD.

AFAIK, axxo is not part of the scene...all he did was re-encode the movie released in the scene...in movie scene, one of the group i know is Diamond
as for pc gaming scene, some reputable scene group i've known are razor1911 and reloaded...
well, there's xenophobia in nds rom scene...

But all those ppl who going warez,including me is all leeching,the download the file uploaded by the uploader without paying,how nice is it as can get a movie,software or game without paying and jz say a thanks,haha

yeah, it's not the scene. why you need to pay for warez? that's so farking stupid. those uploaders already got their rewards, the points when someone dl their files. and tbh, warez are for internal scene groups use only, not for p2p

they have skill and want to share what they have done to other people...we got benefit from them...free games and movies...hahaha...and for sure they want to gain respect for their work and art of en-coding...(^__^)

i'm a supporter of warez , nvr buy before ori , but just wondering what they get in return for doing all these...
coz they do things oso so fast, on the same day cod5 was released, warez sites already release and working...

Why can't you read through the whole thread? It's not like the thread have 100+ pages to find my explanation about the scene.

It's nice for us to download freely but not very nice to the developers of the programs/media files.

Sometimes the developers deserved to get pirated, for example, the CherryOS developer which rip an open source Mac emulator for PC and made it into paid product. Usually groups would recommend you to buy a software to support the developers, but this one, they recommend you to spread the keygenned CherryOS emulator to your friends, colleagues, and anyone who you might find. lol

I see and I agree that those fu*ked up developers should be ripped!
