I am driving a Hyundai Accent 00' model. There is a high pitch sound like "vew~~~" when I accelerate the car when compressor is running. See my mechanic, he suspects not enough lubricant then added for me, but then the sound still remain. The air cond is still running cold just the sound is annoying... Can you roughly tell me what is the problem? Is the air compressor dying or?
And today I found out that the compressor does not cut off when idling, the air blow out is cool still... What caused such problem? Is it part of the reason because overfilled of air cond lubricant?

QUOTE(dinozos_fed @ Jun 24 2012, 12:38 PM) as i know, if the compressor is not cut off probably the gas not enough... or something like press switch or thermo switch not functioning... for the annoying sound... is hard to tell, try to look clearly ur compressor when engine is runnng idling, if ur coupling bearing is very bad, sure u can see its wobbling... actually if couling bearing is worn out without switch on the air cond, the annoying sound its still there.. u can try remove the belting to make sure it.. just 2 cent opinion Thanks for the reply bro But then yea, the compressor do work well at night time, and the air cond still very cold when night time... That's now what I am wondering... As for the compressor, it is located underneath the engine, not like some cars which is located at the side where we can observe it easily. Will have a check up with some air cond mechanic. I am staying at Taman Connaught Cheras, any recommended air cond specialist for me to go to?

QUOTE(K-Max @ Jun 28 2012, 12:23 PM) Firstly, where is the high pitch sound come from? It is inside the car or front part? Lubricant oil have a certain amount of level to be added into differ compressors. Too many oil will cause the aircon system overfill will oil and refrigerant gas will be hard to pass through condenser tube and etc, this will cause high pressure to the system, aircon not cold , discharge hose burst out ....... How about your aircond function during the day? Will it be cold during hot afternoon? If the sound is found inside the car, sometimes it will cause by the cooling coil or the expansion valve as well Thanks bro for the info. Checked with mechanic, compressor problem. Changed a recond compressor, new valve, receiver drier filter also changed. However, the air cond is not really cold as before when idling, but when you rev a bit or when the car is moving, then it is cool enough. The compressor run for very long time and normally didn't cut off when you just started the car. After run for sometime and idle again, then only it works normally... Wonder what's the problem now
