What position are you applying for?

I sent my resume in Dec 2008 and I got the call just this Monday. But when I sent my resume/application form I haven't graduated yet, I just graduated early this month so I guess they were waiting for me to graduate first.

I have an interview next week, really nervous. Hopefully will get it. Management Exec post. Wish me luck!

Hi, does anyone know what are the prospects of working in SC as a MANAGEMENT EXECUTIVE?

What is the starting basic salary?

I heard that the program duration is 2 years. What will happen to the employee after 2 years?

Does the salary will be increased in the 1st year?

Anyone knows about this? please provide me the info.

Thank you.

Hi. I just passed the first stage. The next stage is next week, if I pass that stage, I'm in!

I asked them, they said after 2 years you will become a senior executive. I didn't ask about salary and benefits though.

My friend shared his experience with me before.
the 2nd stage, its going to be a case study.
It's going to test the way u solve problem, your way of thinking, and your immediate response if you face a situation.
And yes, its really tough. Just be confident with your answer. Dont look nervous because SC as a regulator/investigator, u need someone who can pretend everything is ok eventhough it is not.
You must be good since they called you straight away. My friend waited for almost a month to get the 2nd interview.
So, wishing u good luck and success.

Wah great info! hmm.gif

I guess I really want the job so I need to do my best. My friend always tell me I'm very calm when people try to badger me with questions, so that might be the reason they decided to let me pass the 1st stage. Thanks for the info! Did your friend got the job? How is he/she doing?

I'll share with you guys my experience when the interview is over, wish me luck!

Thanks again ex2993! You've helped me a lot smile.gif

wish u good luck... did u apply the graduate management executive programme?? u send thru email ?? how bout the signature??

Thanks smile.gif

Yes that's what I applied for. I sent through email and by hand, through despatch because at that time I was doing my attachment at a law firm. Then they asked me to email the form again when they decided they wanted to interview me. They will ask you to sign later on when you're there for the first interview.

Hi Foxymardy,
No problem.
How are u doing now?
When is your 2nd interview?

Hi again!

I just finished my 2nd interview few hours ago hehe. It was okay la. I got a case study on immigration problems in Europe, I proposed my own suggestions, the interviewer asked me questions. I kinda expected it to be tougher, but it was alright. I don't know if she thinks I did okay too of course! I might have bombed it without me realising!

After case study there was role-play questions, I was the MD for a company, and this company sponsored an athlete. The lady interviewer was the supervisor of the athlete, and we sort of had a conversation together on certain problems given based on the different scenarios.

Then, it was the motivational and values assessment. I didn't expect this stage because my friend who had her interview yesterday didn't have this. This is where I was given cards representing motivations and values, and there's another set of cards representing situations. According to each of this situation, I pick 6 cards from the values and motivation group and i choose which one is of least importance, up to the one I think is the most important to me depending on how i felt with the situation. Something like that.

I finished that, I asked what's the next stage. The lady said the next stage will be an online assessment they will email to me. I haven't got the email yet so I guess I have to wait until they're happy with my results, then that must be the final stage. They said by next week. So hopefully!

So did your friend get the job?

That's wonderful! Very happy for him. Hope I'll be as lucky too unsure.gif

Anyway just another question, sorry for bugging you again, how long did he wait for the offer after the last stage? At this point I'm not sure what is the last stage, would be glad if you can ask him for me.

Thanks again!

Anyway..my gf just resign from management exec programme after 6months..got better offer tht pays double,

but u have to be very fluent in english (my gf got BENL)..so she still can secured job as a exec.pay not much but really coooooolll office.
*
I heard a lot of people are resigning/have resigned because they have better offers from other places. That's why they're recruiting new GMEs. Congrats to her for her new job! BENL sounds familiar, is she a UIA grad? I transfered from BENL to LLB, and I just got my LLB last month smile.gif

Yes I love the office hehe. But I like what they do, that's mainly the reason I want to join. I'm pretty alright about the pay as long as I can really develop there.

I cant imagine how she can secured a jog as assistant manager as she only 25yrs old.
Work culture in SC is super cool.their office super nice eventho compare with klcc.i know klcc got cool lobby but sc got one too.their office arrangement also is not like traditional office.their attire also cool.

perception?ppl always dun know what is sc but when they know they always thought tht sc ppl earn so much in fact not.
work load is normal.but expect to do some clerk things.culture is superb.everyone is friendly.cool boss and u know their boss soo cool and my gf always say like if not u i will be his second wife (WTF).
salary is always on time.cola i dun see from her slip but maybe because she is on probation period.i dun know bout car allowance either.2.5k is consider small if u working in mont kiara right.
*
My friend who works there tells me the same thing. And I think if I remember correctly, every 6 months your salary goes up. Bonus is 4 months worth of salary. Petronas 7 months I think.

2.5 is not small to me, not for now anyway hehe smile.gif
