Cant install .msi format file

I'm installing an ahem game on vista home premium and i got this error code "the installation package could not be open. contact the application vendor to verify this is a valid windows installer package".
This file works perfectlly on my friend's windows XP before i tried it so i think its my vista problem. I've google this error code and found that many vista user cant install .msi file which is the one I'm installing. Any Vista expert can help me solve this? TQ Attached thumbnail(s)

there are 2 setup file in it. 1 is notepad the other 1 i double click it but ntg appeard.

most probably the file is not compatible. Run in compatiblity mode?
