Need opinion here...I have f58....I like to do strob photography n i have 2 umbrella. What do u think
1. Should i buy another flash ....nissin around RM4++ that can be triggered by pop up too. 2. HVL42 ...new one rm7++ 3. 300 watt strobe light ....rm600 without battery pack (I have to use plug so not mobile). (not sure can fit into my light stand and silver umbrella) definitely can be triggered with pop up flash/flash. |

QUOTE(shootkk @ Dec 11 2008, 12:52 PM) I would suggest the F42 coz it gives you more control when using with the F58 and Alpha 700. And it is so mobile/portable. Thanks....control? I dont really get to practice flash control when theres 2 hvl....but I am going to attend the Penang worksyop on this 21 and learn about this. That's the reason I am NOT selling off my F42. Hehehehehehe.... signither : Unless you really, really feel the need to get a F58, stick with the F42. It's sufficient for normal use. Unless, you're like me lar... shoot at full power also not enough light. This post has been edited by hanafinoor: Dec 11 2008, 12:17 PM |

QUOTE(signither @ Dec 11 2008, 01:14 PM) will consider if i have limited budget then Ya dont sell yr f42....i regret selling it.but that would be some time early next year la still, don't get ur hopes high la coz i really think that i'll keep the F42 still waiting for the flash workshop in kl penang too far for me Oh i have nikon flash sb600 that I triggered with radio...but if i use that my f58 will be redundant...i cannot use both...meanning i hv to choose either one. Sigh. This post has been edited by hanafinoor: Dec 11 2008, 12:24 PM |

QUOTE(jsc_tidus @ Dec 24 2008, 03:16 PM) LCS-SC5 Alpha DSLR bag.. got for RM160 at Sony Style Times Square.. love the quality, but seems can fit enough for my a300 + kitlens + F42.. it does come with a rain cover.. Both are not for macro...if u r serious into macro...get a macro lens such as the sp90, guarenteed 1:1.Need some opinion.. which one is better for potraits & macro pics? Sigma 24-70 F2.8 DG Macro OR SAL 20mm F2.8 This post has been edited by hanafinoor: Dec 24 2008, 02:41 PM |

QUOTE(dingenius3 @ Dec 24 2008, 04:08 PM) QUOTE(dingenius3 @ Dec 24 2008, 05:41 PM) i still dont understand why it is called 1:1 magnification... its 1-to-1 ratio rite?? hmmmm.... Dingenius - I wish I know how to explain but let me try. 1:1 for macro lens is a true macro lens magnification, 1:2 or 1:4 normally lens that are capable to do macro but not a true macro lens, a lot of zoom lenses have this capability. Hmm i guess 1:1 indicates ratio. A true 1:1 macro lens are usually prime lens with no zooming capability. Nowadays I rarely do macro as it gives me backache as I have to hunch my back catching damn bugs. But if u must....to get a good macro shot....lighting is also crucial....although f58 is not perfect for macro, at least f58 can bend downward towards the bug unlike f42. The best is ring light to get the job done. National Geographic magazines have lots of inspirational macro pics.n btw... merry christmas to all alpharians too MechaHerc - well I am still resting and recuperating from that damn denggi - more reason not to do macro. Instead of catching a mosquito and make them pose for me, they bite me without mercy. This post has been edited by hanafinoor: Dec 24 2008, 05:33 PM |
