the price of this lens seems higher than before, i guess around rm1.4k

yup, mainly because of the filter..lens itself also can cause a flare..wat filter u have?buy a great filter can reduce the flare but IMO not using filter at nite and shoot light more better..me using hoya filter also got flare.. blush.gif
*
ya ka.. later la i go survey that lens.. maybe go molet molest first brows.gif

i'm using cap ayam visico filter.. maybe that's why.. last time just bought it for protection..
now that i'm taking photography a bit more serious, maybe should spend on better filter..

QUOTE(Ahmike @ Dec 22 2008, 03:18 AM)
flare or ghosting ???

yeah exp UV got helps... but at least Hoya Pro1D should help.
*
err.. what is ghosting ya?? see my pics below, i think it's flare:

lol you should, they seem to have little stock on hand, although there are tons of filters and other accessories. didn't know the vertical viewfinder attachment was THAT expensive... RM700 sweat.gif
*
last months i called the 3 sony style like once in 2-3 days asking bout it.. they even have me to leave my phone number and said will call when the stock arrive..
usually everything will go thru KLCC they said, so after that i only call KLCC la.. since KLCC said no stock, i thought BTS n Curve also no stock doh.gif

yuppie...dats y i start from the cheapest...cz1680 already in my dry cabinet now....but inside my heart..im stil fighting btwn 70300g or tammy macro...think i probably use macro more often than telephoto...so my first G lens probably would b postponed.. cry.gif
*
after getting the 55200, i realised i hardly use it.. but it's good to have it around coz we'll never know when we gonna need it.. so i think this is gonna be the only tele zoom lens for me, at least for the time being..

not that my poison shield against the cobra is fully charged already, i'm currently funding for a kit lens replacement.. most likely a 2.8 brows.gif

Signither, I got no idea what's the current street price for this lens. I would guess around the region of RM15xx to RM17xx (wild guess). Alternatively, you may want to consider waiting for the HSM version which was announced recently, but don't know when will it be available. However, no one knows about the price of this new version, as well as its performance. But I am using a Sigma lens with HSM as well at the moment and one thing I can tell you is that it is a heavy battery consumer! Be prepared to get extra battery for your camera if you want the HSM version... sweat.gif
*
oh mai!! HSM version pula doh.gif
how much it's gonna be ya?? sweat.gif
actually wanna find a cheap and good kit lens replacement while saving for CZ rolleyes.gif
bout the battery, i am planning to get an extra one.. last time i went for outing with friends, shoot shoot shoot shoot and then battery kiok wor, very dissapointing sad.gif
really need an extra battery now nod.gif

QUOTE(soulfly @ Dec 23 2008, 09:24 AM)
The 55-200 is actually good for closeup and portraits.
*
really?? i tried it for closeup last time.. quite ok la.. but never tried for portraiture.. afraid it's gonna be too tight.. so must stay very far for the subject la sweat.gif

where & how much ??
u found cheapest place??
*
bought from digitalsmania for RM240 sweat.gif
don't tell me now if got other place selling it cheaper sad.gif

QUOTE(Sp00kY @ Dec 23 2008, 04:55 PM)
it is normal bro. hahah SONY ma!
one full charge for me can last ~1000 shots, without flash but eye-start on.

if i use flash, i can shoot around ~400 shots with eye-start on..

i believe sony is quite good with BATTERIES! (sony mp3 players can last damn long too!)
*
i'm using A300, and since i'm a noob, i sometimes turn on the liveview to check if my exposure is okay.. that's why the battery drains quickly sweat.gif
