Pics tend to look sharper after resizing to become smaller, and not the other way round. Which app did u use to resize? And where did you upload yours pics to?

BTW, try to find interesting subjects to shoot and compose. Ones that have special photography values in it or have vibrant colours will mostly make the subject worth snapping. (e.g. flowers, old historic buildings, early Straits Chinese shop front, food, nature)

If you find the colours too dim, you can try switch to 'Dynamic' or 'Vibrant' in your settings mode instead of using the usual 'Standard'. I opt for Dynamic since I find the contrast settings in Vibrant a bit far-fetched.

I did set it to Dynamic mode. But I still fell that your(s) photo is sharper and more contrast.

I use ACDSee to resize. Maybe the it compress or did something funny to the photos. Which app is recommended? I know Photoshop can't handle our raw file yet, but I'm not good in Photoshop too. Willing to learn any good app.

Thanks for the suggestion. I'll try to upload to Photobucket. Normally what size does people upload, any common "standard"?

First try in motion blur

Welcome to the club! Nice shoot. I like the "black" of your photo. Dark, but plenty of details

Waited for almost 2 hours and uncountable shots. Finally got it. Maybe it's easier to get in KL where is more lightning prone. Tried with ND filter to prolong the shuttle speed but the lightning become too dim. so everything original.

Taken with a Tripod. f8.0, 15s, ISO 80. Raw format developed in LR2, no PP or edit, just resized. (although I personally think it's nicer to reduce the exposure 3 more steps to make the sky darker)
