QUOTE(zeeker87 @ Sep 6 2009, 07:06 PM) woot..very nice photos especially da light trails..like them alot..but will be better if more light trail could be captured.. light trails could be longer, but i don't like my light trails overpowering the background QUOTE(europology @ Sep 7 2009, 12:42 AM) previously used to be using manual all the time, but got fed up of manually adjusting the shutter speed, especially since its using a joystick instead of a wheel now just leave it in aperture mode with ev +2/3 lol. wah. nice long exp shots! could never get a good one in-car
btw, what fw are u using? v2.0 gives much more accurate AWB. but too bad they pulled it back. havta wait for v2.1 TBR on 20th oct anyway, speaking of long exposures, took this shot by accident ![]() was in a very, very dim(too dark to read) restaraunt in Sunway Pyramid and snapped this shot in Aperture focus mode. held the camera on the table and took the shot, he was beside me, so i couldn't see the screen. when i took back the camera, realised that the camera chose an 8s shutter speed for that shot but the end result was pretty good, though unexpected looks more like a dual-exposure shot! |

QUOTE(DJFoo000 @ Oct 15 2009, 03:38 PM) nightstalker, how would you suggest to crop #2 in post 625? I shot with the RoT in mind. hmm... thinking more of this Haha believe it or not the shots were done outdoors under a bright sunlight (noon I think), with the big envelope used to store X-Ray films as a background. Nicely bleaches the BG white. A mode is good enough to evaluate the exposure. If only I had the time to construct one of those softboxes and buy an external flash unit. Then I can take away that shadow... Anything looks good with a plain BG, I've learnt. It seems my 'technique' has been 'bocor-ed' in the first pic. LOL. Was trying the shot in #625 with another feel: » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « I dunno if the composition works, but with the initial shot and the later shot was trying to have a 'child-playing-with-dad' feel. Sorta like piggy-back riding. ![]() diffrence is subtle, but IMO, this somehow feels nicer and on the green shot. i think u shud change the aperture to a higher F value. since theres texture on the green backdrop, the fact that if focus on such a small section doesn't seem right just my 2c |

QUOTE(yuki_tine @ Nov 10 2009, 04:33 PM) » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « would like to ask, why is the color always turn out so yellow when i use manual setting under yellow light condition? when i use auto, the color will be fairer as in more natural.. anything wrong with my setting? i'd tried with natural and standard, but the pics turned out very yellow still.. QUOTE(Hico @ Nov 10 2009, 04:47 PM) the place where you type your reply..u will see the middle button is more option adjust ur WB settings.Added on November 10, 2009, 4:49 pm i also notice it turn yellowish when use P, S or Scene.. but using Auto, it will turn fairer.. but depend on the condition, like sunset shot, auto mode is too fair ..not nice.. so both got it good and bad lor.. |
