Hello all..
Just got back from pc fair klcc where i got my new touch hd. i got my deal from Thunder Match Technology sdn bhd. the deal i got was RM3,180, and another RM35 for 1 yr extended warranty (and get the sis privilege card). the package came with the standard stuff ie 2 stylus, 8gb mem card, soft pouch, and Jabra BT2010 bluetooth headset. also received a free screen protector, and extra soft pouch. searched high and low for a package with car charger/car phone holder, but could not find it anywhere. I am looking forward to using the touch hd after 2+ years with my faithful se k800i. was contemplating between touch hd and xperia x1, but the 3.8in screen was too much to resist! haha. i'm now trying to familiarize myself to use 'soft buttons'...so awkward since its my first experience on a touchscreen and a win mo device. tried some free games that came with it, unfortunately some of them could not be played because the lack of physical buttons ie D-pad..i guess have to find suitable games that are playable on the HD then.

hmm maybe it was you they were referring to today..They asked me, "u were the one who came yesterday right? ok ok i'll give you the best deal today since you really want the hd.." and before i could say that it wasnt me, the salesgirl already quote me the price rm3,180...after that only i said that i wasnt the guy she was referring too, but too late lah, i hold on to that price already heheh

hi. i am currently using Garmin XT and Mapking R12 on my HD, directly use the built-in gps. on HD they dont require the gps-port splitter software. They work directly for me.

Problem:-
Missed call/sms goes unnoticed because you don't bother to check the phone as often. (Led notification too small to notice)

Solution:-
Install DontForget for Windows Mobile! This app will let you know of any missed call/sms that your phone have received with a beep/ringtone(configurable) at a predefined interval. This function is already in many other phones like Motorola V series..and it's a convenient way to let you know of missed calls/sms without you having to physically check the phone every now and then.

yes, although the Dontforget app just focus on the unread msg/missed calls whereas spb phone suite has that and also a lot more (also takes over the today screen from TouchFlo). But i dont think that spb phone suite has the function where the phone reminds you that you have a missed call/unread sms.

Does anyone know, if windows mobile needs an antivirus?

i have all garmin xt, mapking 2007 and mapking R12.
right now my main gps is mapking r12 simply because it works faster (calculate routes) faster than the other 2. but garmin has more details so i keep it just for reference map. mapking 2007 i havent run since..mebi i will uninstall it soon.

How much is it and where is it being sold?

me three....just flashed to Dutty 3.1 on Friday...oredi have it set-up and everything...i guess i will wait for the "Final" version 3.3 to be out then only have my hd set up the way i like it.

Has anyone here tried Fingerkeyboard 2.1? its totally free, available on xdev.i have it on Dutty 3.1 rom, and i think i'm keeping it..it rocks!

yeah i noticed that right away when first installed.uncheck other languages did the trick. i find the shortcuts for "www." "com", cut, copy, paste, very very useful. HTC must implement this in future keyboards. another thing, Fingerkeyboard reacts almost instantly to keypresses, i mean the pressed key gets highlighted much faster than htc's. oh yeah and i find that the most helpful theme is the grey ones, especially grey and red, coz the pressed key gets highlighted in different colour (red for me) whereas the black themes highlight the keys in same colour as the background.

i have just found it in Fingerkeyboard! to switch to other keyboards... juct click and hold the minimize button, and fingerkeyboard will switch back to the original htc keyboard...how cool is dat? hehe...but not too intuitive though

i'm just about done setting up my hd after flash with dutty 3.3..
so far all's good...
