Thanks all for your reply. I really love my HTC HD. So far no problem (touch wood).

One of the main reason I choose HTC was due to the excellent support from XDA community. They are the one who really make HTC more fun to use.

AP means imported unit and not from local distributor
its not describing the warranty provider
the unit is from SIS.. but 1st year warranty by distributor, and extended by AIG insurance...

The first year is covered by SIS, just that my extended warranty is covered by AIG for the second year. Basically they cover everything that the manufacturer covers up to purchase price, if exceed purchase price, they have option to either repair or replace the unit. and this extended warranty is transferable too. Only batteries are not covered by this extended warranty, does urs from SIS cover? The Extended warranty is called Mobisure, it is covered by AIG Insurance. It works similarly with those extended warranty that Sen Heng, SenQ, Harvey Normans for those electrical items like TV and etc. I will call the toll free hotline provided to check on how to claim for the extended warranty.

haha good news good news!!!!....... for me..  lastly jus got my hd dis evening @ 3250 wif bluetooth n i top up 39 to extend  a year warranty so dats mean 3289 n bcoz of delay he gv me car charger n holder as free gifts, cheers...   hav been playing till now until i feel da heat. hehe.. but  i wonder y i use wifi suddenly will change to edge wan? ned help.. thanx..

yes, correct. if you tend to surf using wifi then you better use HD tweaktools to swith of your data connections off to prevent getting huge bills later. 

actually that feature is a nuisance lol. accidentally hanging up. U can change background by scrolling all the way in TF3D to settings, and change Wallpaper.

Try using Wallpaper4all to change background for all tabs. not tested with WVGA screens, but it should work, since its also TF3D and registry tweaks.

Diamond, Touch Pro, also got the face down settings. cuz we got accelerometer. but i disable also lol

damn.. my TD got snatch by bike snatch thief this evening... was in my car with my windows wind down, cos air con spoilt... on the way to fix actually.. then the damn bike just stop beside me when i stopped for traffic light, snatch my TD from the car holder then sped off... i was like wtf???!!!!

lesson: don't ever wind down your car window...

How to change the background?

sux la dunno y suddenly cant go wifi ady n sumtimes connect me thru edge.. it say pls check ur setting n service provider.. wtf.. wats wrong?

I'm so surprised. after waking up, my HD went on dead. When i switch it on, the battery had drained. What happened? I did not on any wifi or anything.. The battery was 80% yesterday.. (probably I did not realize to switch off the wireless and I forgot)

By the way, Last 2 days, I found out WHY my HD uses a lot of batt power since I bought it last week. Each day have to charge. It was because I was using the S2U2 unlock program. Which I offered to a friend of mine and used it on his HTC TP. He called me and complained, after installed, battery drained soo darn much. So I tried to uninstall mine and realized the improvement. My battery can stay up to 2 days with normal usage. My friend also said his TP returned to normal after uninstalling it. I also adjusted my backlight and put it on minimum so that it saves more battery.

And do you have a FM Modulator in your car? What it your opinion in using it as a car charger. My friend did it on his HTC TP. No need to buy charger.. Is it safe? Buying charger from shops also is not ori one... its still not safe...

TouchFLO 3D has a really great way of displaying contacts so that you can easily flip through pictures of people you call often like a Rolodex. But, if you just press the "+" button on one of the blank contact slides and assign a contact that already has a picture associated with it, the picture comes out very blurry and pixelated.

How do you get a clearer picture? First, be sure you have the picture you want loaded on a storage card or on your device. Then, fire up Album from the Programs list. Select the photo you want, hit the right Menu button, and do Save to Contact (top screenshot). The resulting thumbnail will be much clearer. I juz bought (pay for it) my HD @ 2.35pm then collect at 4pm cos the nice guy said help me to install software..now my HD got tons of software...suprisely it wont lag at all, if omnia....sure need soft reset few times..lol. i

so excited...the picture and colour was so clear,performance is fair good bcos sumtimes it will lag awhile when go to music, picture and weather tab..but still nice and smooth in overal..haha!

the stylux pen from the 4 in 1 is not specially made for any ppc model..it just normal stylux and the shape is like ball point pen..haha

No point surfing the mobile version of websites as it has less information.

How do I change it back to the normal website?

I tried to set default page as www.soccernet.com but it still Auto convert it to mobile version of the web page. Any idea how??
