yes, i understand.. i'm talking with respect to the warranty issue, not as a whole importing issue.. if u buy from a shop that gives AP set warranty (3rd party company warranty) and getting extended 3rd party company warranty such as from MobiSure, isn't it almost the same?

so, if it's from AIG Insurance, what do they actually cover? are the terms the exact same thing as SiS warranty? that is the question here..

This is my third day with HD. I am so surprised and in awe with its performance and capability. Though It seems lagging a bit but it does not annoy me that much. I also discovered many things including functions and other capabilites that it can do. Many of my friends are all planning to change to HD soon.

One thing though. I installed Divx for mobile and tried to play Heroes season 3 but the performance was not good. The picture clarity was superb however the sounds came out earlier than it should. Hiro Nakamura voice came out first than followed by his lips. Anyone can clarify this?

Just got back from pc fair klcc where i got my new touch hd. i got my deal from Thunder Match Technology sdn bhd. the deal i got was RM3,180, and another RM35 for 1 yr extended warranty (and get the sis privilege card). the package came with the standard stuff ie 2 stylus, 8gb mem card, soft pouch, and Jabra BT2010 bluetooth headset. also received a free screen protector, and extra soft pouch. searched high and low for a package with car charger/car phone holder, but could not find it anywhere. I am looking forward to using the touch hd after 2+ years with my faithful se k800i. was contemplating between touch hd and xperia x1, but the 3.8in screen was too much to resist! haha. i'm now trying to familiarize myself to use 'soft buttons'...so awkward since its my first experience on a touchscreen and a win mo device. tried some free games that came with it, unfortunately some of them could not be played because the lack of physical buttons ie D-pad..i guess have to find suitable games that are playable on the HD then.

use coreplayer, better than divx , smartmovies. TCPMP cant even beat coreplayer. btw, im using 1.25 version of coreplayer also good enuf now got new version 1.3

use coreplayer. still bit laggy sometime, but watchable. the best media player without re-convert the files (normally 350mb). i installed divx player and uninstall it soon after.

guys pc fair is over dint get to go over there so envious tat all the user got the hd ald.... what would u tink if nex week i get the phone from PDA expert branch will the freegift they offer still remain the same?

Just wondering.. Any good software for Yahoo messenger? I tried the Yahoo messenger mobile on web and it sucks badly.. Tried to search for other softwares but still sucks..

hmm maybe it was you they were referring to today..They asked me, "u were the one who came yesterday right? ok ok i'll give you the best deal today since you really want the hd.." and before i could say that it wasnt me, the salesgirl already quote me the price rm3,180...after that only i said that i wasnt the guy she was referring too, but too late lah, i hold on to that price already heheh

2nd day with my HD. Love the GPS on big screen. Still trying to get used to "touching" it. My fingers seems to be too fat. Keep on pressing the wrong buttons!!

Question: My WiFi signal from laptop is STRONG. But on HD is WEAK. Even if I go to 3ft of the wireless modem, the signal still display as WEAK. Also, after setting the same DNS as my laptop, still not able to get on to Internet.

Any advice??

I dont agree with u. PDAs without flash useless?? Not really... beside HD 5.0MP camera perform well in most condition. Need a good all rounder camera? Buy a Canon

yes, agree with SFOD-D. look at these photo taken. Better than my earlier 2.0 /3.0

The first year is covered by SIS, just that my extended warranty is covered by AIG for the second year. Basically they cover everything that the manufacturer covers up to purchase price, if exceed purchase price, they have option to either repair or replace the unit. and this extended warranty is transferable too. Only batteries are not covered by this extended warranty, does urs from SIS cover? The Extended warranty is called Mobisure, it is covered by AIG Insurance. It works similarly with those extended warranty that Sen Heng, SenQ, Harvey Normans for those electrical items like TV and etc. I will call the toll free hotline provided to check on how to claim for the extended warranty.

Lol, i really cannot compete with PC fair if those are original SIS Malaysia sets. pretty darn good. lol. i see that Touch Diamond and Touch HD pdas have attracted a lot of normal phone users into the PDA world lol.

The WiFi signal is weak because it is set to optimum condition (performance vs battery life). Go to your setting -> Connections -> Wireless LAN -> Power Mode, and change to "Best Performance".

yes ..agree with it ...flash will probaly help when in less light environment ..
but even my n95 hv flash, sometime the photo taking not satisfy ... lost to my frend sony cyber-shot series .. sad ...
wana to get my HD ady ... hehe ...after that no more new shirt in new year lor ..

phone camera still not up to that level yet...even samsung omnia with 5mp + flash ... still not that perfect

great deal with thunder match....

if that is the case, then u shouldn't have to worry.. as for battery, yes, the extended warranty covers it.. it's basically the same 1 year warranty, but now extended to 2 years.. if ur gonna call their toll free line, check whether u could add up to insure ur phone to cover lost (stolen) or damage (water/fall damage)..

Camera
-Camera is slow and only autofocuses when you wanna take the picture of a subject. Dunno, but i find it not clear for a 5MP(camera phone quality).Is this normal ? l

Lost network operator connection
- was in OneU...suddenly no service at all and had to reactivate access to Maxis from comm manager.Happened only once though.

Voice Call quality.
- You can hear static/scratchy noises when on a call. I though it was because of the locale and mebbe due to network operator but thi wasnt the case. still had this problem.nvr experience this before on my previous phones.

Battery Usage
- Was using HD with a fully charged(> 8hrs) battery since ~9 am yesterday morning and battery is more than half drained with four bars remaining.was using wifi for about 10 mins yesterday and was fiddling mostly with setting...backlight was on the power save mode (3rd marker from the left.)
