Hi all, just came back from PC fair, after some hard bargaining with PDA expert, this is what I got for RM3250:

1) HTC HD + everything in the box (charger, extra stylus, softpouch, screen protector, 8GB)
2) 1 pieces of mini USB reader (so small and convenient)
3) 1 pieces of stylus from PDA expert (cool little rod)
4) A High Performance B-Speech ISAS model Bluetooth Headset device
5) An extended 1 year warranty from SIS
6) PDA Car holder (but I ask them to change to car charger)
7) Free Software installation for Games, Multimedia software, Dictionaries and so many more cool PDA softwares I dun even have the chance to explore and Mapking (Singapore and Malaysia map).
Question:

1) I asked them to fix the screen protector for me and I found that there is a buble at right hand below corner. I ask them why like that one, he said original screen protector is like that one. I think they bull shit me.

2) One of the guy said it is not advisable to off the phone, just let it in sleep mode. I think this is another bullshit right?  Do you guy off the phone when you go to sleep?

i went to pda expert, they dun have stocks, that was like 1 pm today, then went to pda arena, straight away bought the phone, 3399, with all the freebies, original HTC Car charger, in car holder, jabra blue tooth and 1 year extended warranty, dun think from SIS it is a company called Mobisure..... it is some sort of extended warranty insurance. Anyone of u got the same thing?

really da best deal i have heard....somemore can change to car charger.isnt this more costlier than the PDA holder.wonder if they will let me change this at one of their outlets.

anyway...has anyone come across a good leather casing to go with the HD?

Candcomm is a trusted reseller. He might have some stock difficulties thats all

try PM Baronic.. i don't think price will drop.. it'll float around RM3.2k to RM3.4k as the first batch isn't evenly distributed to the dealers yet.. some dealers are still waiting for their 1st batch of stock to arrive..

please be careful of non original SIS stuff....the person who bought from mobisure...u've been frickin ripped off.....u cud have gotten it 500 bucks less at least...thats the price of overseas sets...

Thanks all for your reply. I really love my HTC HD. So far no problem (touch wood).

One of the main reason I choose HTC was due to the excellent support from XDA community. They are the one who really make HTC more fun to use.

so in this case for bcwee01, the first 1 year is warranted by SiS Malaysia, but the subsequent is not..

so, the extended warranty is given by a 3rd party company instead of SiS.. how's the validity and reliability of warranty of MobiSure in terms of claims and replacement parts?

Just wondering if anyone here who bought HD from PDA expert in kl pc fair, does your HD by default comes with few languages (english, german, etc) BUT chinese? So does that mean my ROM version is without chinese? (that's what I read from googling).........how sad
I understand I can install something like cootek touchpal and it'll support chinese input, but can I add 'chinese' as one of the languages inside Regional/Languages in settings? Do I need windows mobile cd  and how can I achieve that? pls kindly help me out thanks
AH by the way, can I do a windows update _from_ HD using wifi? The thing is now it won't let me to update with error like "can't detect data connection"....i assume it is expecting 3g / gprs connection to perform the windows update? am I right arr?
