With others still considering and discussing the possibility of joining, I urge you to come to a decision soon, as we said we need to reach a critical mass in order to make this successful. Keep in mind also the above teams, quite a few will send more than 1 team. So we're reaching the point, but we STILL need the support of others, talk to your clan leader, discuss it and join and support.




And as such, a Community meeting will be held to discuss the following:

1) Mod to be used
2) Ruleset (e.g. mr12 or ....)
3) Tournament, ladder or league?
4) Structure of the tournament (Round-robin format in group stage then single eliminations or ....)
5) Rules/Regulations (stuff like how to arrange a match, how to decide map/side)
6) Getting support for our ladder/league, perhaps getting sponsors for prizes etc, and how to get more teams to join
7) Others

How to get on IRC. Two choices, use a web-client, or download the IRC client.

How to use IRC:

We recommend either using a IRC web-browser or using the mIRC client.


IRC web-browser

Go to url: http://www.mibbit.com/
Under Connect to IRC, scroll down and select Other Server and type in either "singapore.sg.galaxynet.org" or "lostworld.us.galaxynet.org" without the quotes. Both work.

Specify your nickname and on channels type in "#callofduty" without the quotes.


mIRC


Download and install the safe most-used IRC client at http://www.mirc.com/get.html

Type in the details such as nickname, name, email (note: they don't have to be real) and press okay. In the status window type:

/server singapore.sg.galaxynet.org -j #callofduty OR
/server lostworld.us.galaxynet.org -j #callofduty

We'll do our best to send in 1 person to listen in just to find out what the latest is on the region.

we welcome plasmodium as another web-admin, and welcome gr4v's support and offer for use of their server, as well as eG and S!GA's support

[ESP]-Gaming is confirmed to support this event and our rep will be coming for the meeting i suppose. Even if we don't make it, just continue with the meeting.

As for servers, the amount of servers will be discussed on the 20th, so we can't confirm the amount yet.

RvG will rep for SWL there as the rest of us don't have an online presence. D= We don't have a server, but we'll be happy to help in any way that we can.

You don't have to have a server to contribute to the discussion. Everyone is invited, from people who just like to spectate, to people gonna take part in the tournament, to server owns and (lol, sponsors? )
