CCTV is monitoring LYN forumers closely especially postings touch-on pirated/modding matters.
Worst still when someone start to argue about pirated vs ori stuff, I guarantee the policeman(fr LYN)will step in & take action. hehehe..
Disappointed bcos there's the limitation as per LYN rules & regulations.

Good Suggestion. Anyway, right now I will still stick to LYN due to its popularity. I 100% support LYN. thumbup.gif thumbup.gif thumbup.gif rclxm9.gif

My advise is to buy a 120GB HDD. I have a jasper unit with 120GB HDD, if u have a lot of game titles in your gaming library, at least should have 120GB HDD.
One game occupied at about >6.5 GB of HDD space. Actual usable space for the 120HDD is only about <110GB. drool.gif

So far no reported case of RROD on JAsper sets worldwide.
My jasper runs fine without any problem. when playing games I can feel it's little warm at the rear vent holes of the machine.
As the fans run at low speed most of the time(fans will autorun at high speed when the GPU or CPU are overheating), I think MS really did a good job on this new chipset revision. rclxms.gif

i got my jasper arcade Rm1150 + RM130 20gb + RM140 160gb=RM1420

now i got jasper with 120gb hdd
*
your HDD 160GB only RM140?
Where did u get it so cheap? is it modded from pc HDD? blink.gif

Added on February 4, 2009, 10:00 amU can see the difference btw playing games on HDD and playing with disk.
When u take out the disk after hours of gaming time on HDD, the disk is still cool. But if u play on disk, u will feel the disk like hot pancake. brows.gif

xbox360 jasper owner, is putting the console in horizontal or vertical make any differences in terms of better heat/air circulation? coz the console looks like stick to the surface when putting it in horizontal, heat/air likes run noway.
*
Never place vertical.
place it horizontal & the best is stack something at the bottom such that it has more space for ventilation at the bottom. rclxm9.gif

HAI GUIZ!

'kay down to serious business.

If i connect a jasper console to the 1st generation X360's ( the one prone to RROD) power brick, will it make my jasper x360 explode?
*
Jasper set can use with any powerbrick but jasper(150W,12.1A) powerbrick can only use on jasper set.

min 60gb

if u get 20gb ,better save ur money, cus it only can install 2 games
better save ur money
*
Better get 120GB. Like me, buy jasper arcade & get additional 120Gb HDD.
average one game occupies about 6-7Gb HDD space. 120 Gb could install less than 20 games while 60Gb only less than 10 games.

Basically there are 3 types of cable can be used for x360, standard AV (composite cable), component cable and hdmi cable.
composite cable comes with red, white, yellow connector.(red/white is audio, yellow is display signal)
component cable with blue, green and red.
Only hdmi cable carries digital signal.
Component cable is good enough in PQ unless your TV is over 42" screen size 1080p or full HD.

The difference in PQ btw hdmi & component is negligible. remember don't ever use composite...

anyone DIY/put something on the bottom of x360 to become higher ,when place horizontal?
*
Cheapest DIY..just put a tissue box at the bottom & u'll get max air ventilation around your machine.

There's no fans at the bottom, so for sure u can't feel any airblow below.
They made the holes below for better heat transfer out of the box.

Added on February 7, 2009, 4:37 aminstalling & playing games fr HDD does not reduce the chances of RROD but can prolong the lifespan of your Disk drive, reduces loud noise during play time & speed up game loading time.
Whichever set u own (zephyr, xenon, falcon, jasper) ,u still can play games on HDD as long as u install NXE.

It's Jasper sets that reduce the chances of RROD.

I ever opened my old broken x360.
Inside of the external plastic case there's another metal case. So, it's possible that heat is being transfered to bottom part.
