Anyone into forex? I see that it is more worthwhile trading than in KLCI.
I already downloaded the FXCM demo account with real time quote. Still learning to read the trend and make use of the stop loss and limit orders, hehehe. The platform is really good and you and actually see the volatility of the movement and make our move to long or short. Better than our stupid KLCI which does not give us any option to short (we are only expected to donate in a downtrend market). |

Oil is up, so Monday CPO counters will push up the index. The rest of the counters can piggy back ride. E&O looks bottom out at 40 sen. Now hovering at 42.5 sen. NTA is extremely good. PA still looked bullish after retraced a bit for profit taking. Might continue the trend next week. Target at 60sen.

QUOTE(sharesa @ Dec 22 2008, 02:46 PM) Actually, you still can do it. During pre closing for 5 minutes, place your 1 lot order a few ticks higher than seller price. Sure match and the last trading price will be based on the 1 lot |

KUALA LUMPUR: WCT Bhd announced this morning that its 50:50 joint venture with Arabtec Construction LLC has been given a 14 days notice by client Meydan LLC to cancel a construction contract worth AED4.6 billion (RM4.3 billion) relating to the Nad Al Sheba Dubai Racecourse project in Dubai.
The JV between WCT and Arabtec, an Emirates-based construction company, was awarded the build-only contract from Meydan for the construction of main building works, external works and infrastructure works in September 2007. Construction on the racecourse began in October 2007 and was expected to complete by October 2009. According to a Reuters report citing a Meydan statement, the contract was cancelled "because of non-adherence to the agreed time schedule for construction". However, a spokesperson for WCT said the company has not been officially informed of the decision for the cancellation of the contract. The Reuters report further added that Meydan was looking to commission other companies to construct the racecourse by 2010 for the Dubai World Cup horse race. The racecourse was supposed to be able to accommodate up to 60,000 spectators. A WCT spokesperson said the company was not given a formal reason for the termination of the contract. He added that WCT was seeking remuneration for work already done, although the termination of the project was not expected to impact WCT's balance sheet. "We are currently in the midst of negotiating a settlement to protect the interests of our company and our shareholders," he said. "The client did not indicate the actual reasons for the cancellation of the contract at a meeting we attended. However, the decision to cancel the project will only delay it further, by at least two months." The spokesperson said that the monthly billing practice of the payment structure meant that the cancellation of the project would not significantly affect WCT's bottom line. WCT has received payment from Meydan for all work done save for the last two months, which was claimable against the client, he said. While WCT is currently engaged in negotiations with Meydan to settle the outstanding balance, the company is also considering claiming reparations for what it considers to be a breach of contract. The spokesperson said the contract was divided into two components: the direct construction of the one-kilometre long racecourse grandstand and the turf ("direct" works), and to coordinate the construction of "specialist works", such as the roofing, interior design and the landscaping of the racecourse. The former, which is worth AED1.3 billion (RM1.2 billion) and handled directly by the WCT JV, was 95% done, WCT said. Some work had begun on the remainder of the project - the specialist works - but WCT said its investment into that area had been minimal. [COLOR=red] The Meydan racecourse is the brainchild of the ruler of Dubai, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al-Maktoum. He is also the vice president and prime minister of the United Arab Emirates.
