Changes to Star board

Star Publications (Malaysia) Bhd has announced several boardroom changes in separate releases to Bursa Malaysia on Friday.

Datuk Oh Chong Peng has been redesignated as an Independent and Non-Executive Director of the company (from Non-Independent Non-Executive director).

This follows his resignation as a director of Huaren Holdings Sdn Bhd, the holding company of Star Publications.

In another announcement, Datuk Steven Tan has given six months notice of his intention to relinquish his position as Executive Deputy Chairman.

This follows his voluntary retirement on June 30, 2008 as Group Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer, a position succeeded by Datin Linda Ngiam.

However, Tan, who turns 60 this year, remains as a non-executive director.

Another director, Datuk Seri Kamal Hashim, whose contract as Executive Director expired on Dec 31, 2008, has been redesignated as Non-Independent and Non-Executive Director.

guy...would like to understand the value here abit since I'm noob..let's say genting stated 4.00. If I would like to buy 1 lot, means I have to pay how much for it?
*
1 lot == 100 shares in new Bursa system.

With the price of RM 4, it'll be RM 429.12

For old system of 1 lot of 1000 shares, it'll be RM 4,033.20.

Both price are based on Internet trading of 0.7% brokage fee with a min fee of RM 28.

That is my favourite tool. It's better than CIMB itrade calculator which doesn't show the costs (detailed figures).
