 Rattling noise on iphone 3g?, shake vertically and hear noise

my iphone 3g has some rattling noise when shaken up and down but very little when side to side. i did not drop it. does anyone has this rattling noise?

the component is loose..it need technician to check it.

i see. im just wondering whether anyone noticed this? shake it lightly up and down with some force and hear whether got like some ball moving. i've googled it and some ppl has this. just wanna know anyone on this forum noticed it.

i see. but it sounds more like a ball or something. heard the accelerometer is a chip. where does ur sound originate?

the sound originates in the back part of the phone near to the charging adapter.

nah..you dont have to check it mate...
i got my iphone 3g from Optus australia...it has that sound when u shake it up and down..

no worries..you are doing fine...
i have already check with optus and apple australia...
not a thing to worry...

tat might be the G-Sensor, you how ur pictures goes from landscape and when u tilt it back it goes to portrait.

theres a mini ball tat touches the sensor to detect how you hold ur phone.

Gravity technology... Brilliant!!

Accelerometer chip is built on the circuit board, if the chip falls then your rotations won't work.

In this case, I think it's something else.
