I play FPS games alot but I found out that both 5hv2 and Barracuda cost quite abit, so is there any alternative to the said mentioned headset?? What other good 5.1 headset out there in the market??
Also, could I just like get good sound card and use affordable headset to somewhat reproduce and/or achieve a good sound output?? or vice versa.

I play online mostly from home, my current built in motherboard sound + my ol' Anzen speaker works pretty well, I'm just curious what I can improve on my rig sound department. I might look harder into Creative X-Fi series for a viable sound solution. Thanks!!
p/s: I was wondering if those USB soundcard, e.g. SS Siberia USB soundcard is a good replacement for say Creative X-Fi soundcard . . .

Yep, I meant and was asking whether those USB soundcard, SS Siberia in particular, would be a good and/or viable replacement for a Creative X-Fi motherboard expansion card.
@ Harveyboy
I think it's the same on the flip side ; Razer, Steelseries, etc are unheard of in the music & movie market and/or industry. Razer and such are not associated with home theater, as a very good substitute iPod headset, etc, etc. They were meant for different function and target crowd, using those brand outside it’s intended market is like asking Norah Jones to pick up Gibson Les Paul and grind it like Slash and vice versa . . .
Granted I would say the switch is not that bad and/or big a problem ; a good headset is a good headset. Your Sony and Philip would be a good headset, just that it’s intended market =/= PC gaming, for the moment at least, that I known off. The only thing I don’t know is = what is the difference between PC gaming 5.1 and home theater 5.1 surround sound, if any.
