Hi friends, i need help to choose my audio gaming setup. Currently i'm using ZZ7 Mpower Msi motherboard. What is the best setup for headset & gaming audio card budget with rm600? Mic is not necessary..

Only problem is that, no one in Malaysia is selling that mic as far as i know. Most of them will say, it was outmoded or so. A few sellers in ebay have it though.

For those who needs a headset (mic) and budgets below RM300,

I can only recommend the Razer Carcharias as that is the only headset I'm using. It's light, comfortable, mic is clear enough, sound quality is good but lack the clarity of an audiophile equipment. This headset RRP at RM279.

For below RM200, you have choices like Turtle Beach Z11 for RRP of RM160, Plantronics Gamecom 367/377 for RM180-190, etc.

All quoted are with mic and prices are RRP, meaning you can probably get cheaper either from online sellers or bargaining in the shop.

There are plenty of 'gaming' headset brands and most of it are priced RM250+ for a 'designed' headset.

Those normal office type headsets without fancy designs and large drivers retails for much cheaper.

Personal advice, don't pay so much for sub par listening experience. Only reason why anyone get a gaming headset is because of the mic. Nobody buys it for the sound quality thats for sure. If you want to hear something f***ing awesome, save the money for an audiophile headphone and use your gaming headset only when need the mic.

Don't waste money on the Zalman clip-on mic. While the voice quality is decent, it's stupid that it doesn't cancel any background noises... AT ALL.
Even if you are tapping on your mousepad, your friends/opponents WILL hear it. Ridiculous.

My option is going for a DX clip-on mic... a China no-brand but much better than the Zalman. The voice quality is better, it doesn't pick up background noises as much (people will still hear you typing though if you're on a mechanical kb) and best of all? It's $2, yes $2.

You do have to add a little bit of mic boost through your windows sound settings/soundcard to get your voice loud enough though.
