cant compare dude,
AD700 1st is open air , the sound sig totally diff with G35. shud compare A500 vs G35 since both is closed back but then G35 got those dolby surround bla bla technology, while audiophile headphone will never has those technology. they use decoder to decode surround sound. |

if a headphone is too boomy and the footstep were covered you can't even position the enemy's step clearly. victor, ur 880 is 600ohm ? use it to play game ah damn syok |

QUOTE(ben3003 @ Jul 13 2011, 09:31 AM) QUOTE(ben3003 @ Jul 13 2011, 05:57 PM) Because I Don know xfi better or corsair sound processor lolz. Xfi using cmss3d, corsair using Dolby Know why it's using USB interface ? Because the headphone uses its own DAC, like Megalodon as well. Those with non-usb plug don't have DAC they depends on the soundcard's DAC. As simple as that. Headphone can run without a dedicated DAC if you plug into computer. But amp is definitely more important as it is the things to make how your headphone sounds like. |

QUOTE(TechnoG @ Jul 18 2011, 04:13 PM) but umm, this kind of gaming headphone need DAC? DAC =/= Amplifier.DAC is the converter. Gaming headphone also need. At least if you don't have DAC, at least get a sound card. Sound card can drive low impedance headphone very well already. <80ohm QUOTE(Everdying @ Jul 18 2011, 04:19 PM) why not? +1, the SS USB soundcard also a DAC itself.ppl use those portable soundcards like SS ones for the same reason, to get decent sound at whatever LAN they go to. |

QUOTE(ReaperX @ Oct 30 2011, 01:42 PM) I feel like my Xonar D2X doesn't have any significant difference compared to onboard audio using AD700. Just wondering anyone with the same headphone uses a better card? pay more attention to your song bro.Luckily my card excels at 5.1 though. or worse case, asus don't make good sound card. use a "proper" amp or dac to drive it better |
