Chech it out: A headset that makes no sense until it is under RM300. When it is under that price range, I'll then say it is a pretty decent headset. This post has been edited by SSJBen: Mar 2 2014, 02:24 AM |

Great sound quality never comes from a gaming headphone. Maybe adequate sound with gaming headphones but if you want to hear greatness, get an audiophile headphone. If you need a mic, a few pages back you can see how the test I did for a mic I bought for less than RM10 online to compare with the Razer mic. |

Hi guys, first time here. Based on what I've read from this page, it seems the Superlux HD681 Evo and Creative Aurvana Live are recommended, but the price difference is around RM200, so are their differences really major? Actually I'm just looking for something that emphasizes on balance for highs, mids, and lows, and comfort. If something like that with a mic exists that would be better, otherwise I will just get a standalone mic.
EDIT: Forgot to add in, I will be using it mostly for music listening, a lot less on gaming. As for my budget, I would say about RM400. This post has been edited by hooh888: Mar 5 2014, 05:17 PM |

If you mean you want something neutral and as flat as possible, sorry but no headphone exist like that in this world. Not even the legendary Sennheiser Orpheus or Stax SR009, considered to be 2 of the most transparent and neutral headphones ever made. Howevere to some, it can still be colored simply because no one's ears are perfect. For RM400, no you aren't going to find a headphone like that. And no once more, you won't find a balance of the entire frequency range in a headphone at all. The CAL! and HD681 Evo has entirely different sound signatures, so it's not about the "difference". It's about what you want in a logical manner. |

QUOTE(hooh888 @ Mar 6 2014, 08:03 AM) You said emphasize on the balance of bass, mids and highs. The HD681 Evo is a lot less bassier than the CAL!, very forward (up front) on the mids and a little bright on the treble. I think it's what you'd want. If you need something with no bass, the Audio Technica AD700 is a popular choice. QUOTE(SSJBen @ Mar 6 2014, 02:17 PM) You said emphasize on the balance of bass, mids and highs. Oh yeah, I forgot another requirement, I want a closed back, so the AD700 is a no go, but the HD681 Evo's semi-open is acceptable. And that price tag of approximately RM150 is really tempting, so I guess I will just go with that, thanks for all the info you've provided. The HD681 Evo is a lot less bassier than the CAL!, very forward (up front) on the mids and a little bright on the treble. I think it's what you'd want. QUOTE(leongkokloon @ Mar 10 2014, 05:34 PM) 2 pages back;QUOTE(SSJBen @ Feb 18 2014, 11:35 PM) Do you absolutely need wireless, if so then your options are indeed limited. I've not heard the SS H wireless, but the A50 is a bloated mess of bass, more bass and a lot of bass (though they aren't as bad as beats...). The mids on the A50 are so recessed, lacks so much detail. There's a bad sense of imaging and instrument seperation, something the A50 does so poorly despite boasting itself as a "gaming headset". But wait, a lot of bass!! Isn't that amazing for action games and movies? Explosions!!!!! No. There's a fine difference between well controlled bass which hits hard and extends deep only when it needs to. Bloated bass is just bass everywhere, even when a person is talking or when a glass smashes on the floor. If you are someone who likes just loves an abundance quantity of bass, the A50 is indeed for you. Ears are different after all. |

Hello recently decided to top up max RM300. What headset would you recommend me? I read up on Siberia V2 alot been giving good reviews but some of them saying after a long use the wire would snap?
Hope you can give me some choices. Looking for a headset with good sound and decent mic clear enough to record my voice without static and other noises. Mostly for gaming only. Thank you This post has been edited by Tomokitsu: Mar 10 2014, 06:26 PM |

QUOTE(Piercehue @ Mar 10 2014, 06:24 PM) from a ps3 gamer myself... in term of ps3...get the pulse elite... best bang for your money... pros: 1. easy setup. just the usb dongle 2. confirm can use psn chat 3. adjustable bass impact.. sometimes i like it rough.. sometimes just a little tickle is enough.. 4. virtual surround is nice.. i like it.. 5. wireless ( i love wireless headphone... hehehe). easy to game on couch/bed 6. play/use while charging cons; 1. battery life not that impressive. 2. have to use cable when battery died (no cable provided, so end up using short ds3 cable) better buy a longer cable. 3. not wirelessly cross platform 4. earpad/ear got hot after sometimes. beacuse the leatherette cushion. thats it.. all in all.. i love the pulse elite. but, that is just my preference... may be yours a bit different... |

Hey guys, currenty using the corsair vengeance 1500. Was thinking of getting thr Corsair vengeance 2100. Would it be worth it? If not, any recommended headsets? Lets's say I have a budget of rm1000, i usually use it for long gaming sessions, rarely for music and movies.
QUOTE(KcX35 @ Mar 12 2014, 10:37 AM) The a50 also comes with a mixamp, its just that the a50 is wireless while the a40 is wired. They also made it lighter, more comfortable etc.typical upgrades. |
