LOL thanks for the suggestions. After reading much reviews on Razer headsets, and gaming headsets as a whole; I decided to put Sennheiser PC 330 G4ME on top of the list.
Somebody is selling it for RM530. A slight RM10+ compared to Razer Megalodon's RM519 but ofcoz the sound is incomparable, its Sennheiser! LOL.

Currently I'm using Sennheiser HD218 almost for everything and it really changed me or poisoned me(whichever u wanna put it). Didnt know Sennheiser had this gaming dedicated headsets at the first place. Thanks to this thread, now I know lah. The PC 360 is awesome but the price is really out of my budget.

Decided to get a gaming headset with mic since I'm very much involved with heavily-talk gamingmates.

So now that I know the existence of audiophiles gaming headsets, I'm all for audiophiles(again).

So guys, any other brands within PC 330 price range? So I can put in my list aswell and try it/compare it.
And anybody using PC 330? Hows it?

Thanks in advance!!!

Hey guys. Thinking on buying a new gaming headphone. At the moment just prefer something less expensive like Steelseries 3H and I wonder if it any good?

On the other hand, might fork out a little for any of this;

Roccat Kulo
Steelseries 4H
Razer Orca

So want some advices, suggestions, recommendations from all sifus here which one to pick. Thanks for any helpful tips smile.gif

Razer Orca is a balanced headphone, good for both music and gaming. But the drawback is that you don't get a mic smile.gif
both Orca and 4H is ok.

Kulo? laugh.gif

Ouuchh, that's quite lot sum of money to splurge out. I don't think I can afford it. Does your Siberia V2 still available though? Just bought by the review on it. Might put it into consideration over Orca. But I still can't shake the feeling that somehow Orca seems quite attractive in term of look and design to me.

Sennheiser PC 360 laugh.gif I doubt anyone owns one, RM1k+.
but I managed to test PC 350 at PC Fair, and the thing that first got my attention is the comfort. It is seriously gooding, nice stuff to use for few hours.

with that budget you can consider Astro A30.

Yup only a pure audiophiles would pay that much. LOL.

Saw the PC350 at Jaben's but didnt get the chance to test it. I heard some complaints on PC350 and Sennheiser solves it with PC360.
The reason I'm targetting PC360 instead.

But then, the price... FUH! Someone is selling it for RM1070. The cheapest I could find in Msia. I know there are shops somewhere but I heard the price is around RM1200-+.

Astro A30? Available here in Msia?

Yeah. Last checked Astro A30 is RM980 at GS smile.gif

RM1070 is parallel import unit ka? with that budget, I think pure audiophiles will grab brands like BeyerDynamic instead.
Jaben got PC 350? didn't know about this.

Its Davis from LYN (PC360).

Since u've mentioned BeyerDynamic, got models to recommend?
I've tried one of the BeyerDynamic gaming headset at Jaben and it didnt impress me. Prolly their lower end.
And yes, Jaben got PC350 and selling it for RM800+.

I own a Sennheiser HD 218. The most "high-end" headphone that I really own. Loving every bits of it.
So I kind of "stick" to its brand since I know the quality pretty well. Unless if somebody can point me to another brands lah. LOL.

But for now, I'm looking for gaming headsets that is not from Razer, Roccat and SteelSeries. No offence to their fans.
I like their mice and keyboards tho.

Theres BeyerDynamic MMX300 gaming headset. But the price in US is USD350!!! Just imagine the price here.

Somebody in here mentioned that they've bought/saw/tested Turtle Beach PX21 at TheCurve, so prolly gonna head there to check.

Astro A30 is RM980 at GS? Whats GS? And where?

Thanks bro!

GS is garage sales..

maybe you can head on to a few websites where they make reviews on headsets and from there you could get an idea what kind of headphones you want and scout around malaysia..

thats how I got the idea of getting the audio technica m50 if not i would be lost just like you

here are a few links which i browsed through..

Take an Audio Technica M50. It's a monitoring headphone but has a slight bass emphasis. It's awesome for most usage and it doesn't cost you half a kidney.

Thanks Calvin!

Its easier to look for audio headphones compared to gaming headsets.

I got some names on my list already. And I read loads of their reviews.
Sennheiser
Turtle Beach
Astro
BeyerDynamic

But reading is not the same as testing it real life. I was thinking of getting the cheaper Sennheiser PC 330 model but most reviews complaint about the smaller fittings. It would be nice to go and feel it myself. But I cant do that here in Msia due to its availability.

So I have to look around looking for ppl who have played with these brands or know the shops/place that I can go and test it.

LOL@myself.

Oh hahaha What I meant was...

Well for my experience I was browsing through websites and I saw the m50 pop out in most or maybe all of the websites as best headphones but I was looking at other alternatives too ie. ath ad700, grado sr60i, AKG K702 ..

if ur tight on budget you can go for the grado most recommended budget headphones wink.gif
