i used acer aspire laptop with windows vista n it worked fine unless a little lagging but its ok.until yesterday when i open my laptop after the loading part it goes black n blank instead usually it shows welcoming part that u need to enter the password(sory i dunno the right term for that part).i tried to open it using safe mode and it goes fine but i cannot enter the password.so for conclusion is i cannot enter the windows screen.is it caused by some virus or corrupted files?n what should i do?hope u all can help me

try repairing your windows..sometimes it just happens, just like in xp..just boot from ur vista dvd and select the repair my computer options...

Acer ? Hmm.... just a week ago I had a friend of mine claim Vista 'can't load'... he has to disable Aero interface. Turns out his GPU has fried.

It may not be the case at all... but Acer laptops have had a painful history of GPUs failing... more than ever on Vista.

Advice - use recovery disc or the Vista recovery option (when boot from Vista DVD).

if detected, u can't enter OS, ur screen will just go blank..............

Still it will pop out the "not genuine" notification and give option to user to activate

my vista goes crazy after i install the SP1
it will come out the BLUE SCREEN every week!!!!
