Mask in paintball is a vital equipment. you cannot play without it. now how to use NVG with paintball mask? 
master chief helmet cant do anything unlike NVG that MW2 give. at least it got some function compare to the helmet which the only thing you can do is stare at it
...or maybe you can use it  as a soccer ball

The combat one got no vibration, but the normal DS3 copy has.

My only guess would be that they needed the space to fit the combat a and b buttons on the controller. Thus, sacrificing vibration
