I am scheduled to move into this house (strata tile - landed condovilla) by 1st January, after long battle with loans etc.

I just like to know what to do (other then moving my stuff in) after buying the house. How to get bills to change to my name, streamyx from old house to new house, astro, amenities (clubs?),? anybody care to share?

For TNB - you'll need a copy of a bill, the SNP and also RM 300-500 depending on how much the previous owner paid for deposit. You'll need to call TNB to find out which branch is in charge of your property's records.

For phone lines, only the OWNER of the line can cancel/move it. So if there's already one, he/she will need to go with you to Kedai Telekom to cancel/transfer to your name. If not, just walk into any TM point to register a new line + streamyx. For streamyx all you need is just your existing username/password.

Astro: If there's a shared dish for all residents, then you just plug in your decoder. If not, then call Astro, they have a service to help you move and install your dish.
