 whats wrong with my sound system?, there's no sound anymore after reformat

Hey guys. My pc was windows vista before this and i reformatted it to windows xp. I couldn't find my sound card install software so i decided to install audio drivers like realteck'97 but it still doesn't work. can anyone suggest a driver i could download?? no sound on my pc now. please help me guys. appreciate any usefull informations smile.gif

your soundcard is built in together with motherboard? if not what is your soundcard brand?

is there anyway to check my soundcard without opening the casing of the cpu? or i have to take off the casing and find the model on the sound card.

you can use cpu-z to see your motherboard model... dont simply install any driver as i wont work like that... you need to find specific driver...

If I may give you a simple method. You can try other people's method but I'd like to recommend that you download and install "DriverDetective" and it'll scan your computer for missing drivers and automatically download and install all the latest drivers for the hardware with missing drivers.

Try to use Realtek HD, i use on all my pc without knowing their sound card model =.="

 

Change to:
