i have acronis too... but can it make become auto recovery ? means i burn the tib(image) into blank dvd...then it boot up from dos ... then auto recovery without press any key ( like ghost) . can ?
There's many ways to restore from Acronis...and you don't even need DOS anymore...

1) Acronis SecureZone - this is an idiot proof recovery system. It hides a partition in ur HDD and store the backup there. If you need to recover, just press F11(or F12 can't remember) to boot up Acronis and restore ur hard disk...No boot disk, no floppies and no DOS needed. All u need is maybe a few mouse clicks.
2) Create Bootable Acronis disc and store ur image on the same disk, Basically with a single CD/DVD, you boot into Acronis and restore the image from the same CD/DVD. I think there's a file size limitation with this method, not sure about latest version coz i try this in version 9.
3) Backup to USB hard disk. Using a Bootable Acronis disk, boot up your PC. Then select the backup image from ur USB drive and restore to ur internal hard disk. Take note that USB support works best in version 11 and above. Previous version got incompbility with certain chipsets when using USB.
Method (3) is my favorite method. Restoring from a backup disc is much slower, restoring from an external USB drive is the fastest way to do it.

Tumpang thread. Acronis True Image is really better than Symantec Ghost? Anyone got comment?
Let's just say Norton once nuked my PC and since that day, i've always use Acronis. I've been using Acronis since version 8 or so.
other than the incompability with certain chipset for USB restore in version 9 or 10 (fixed in ver 11), nary a single problem.
I've used it to backup/restore:
1) XP
2) VISTA
3) MAC OSX (ala hackintosh)
4) UBUNTU
Try beat that.
