Hi TS,

I am interested in setting up a similar setup. However i am a Mac newbie and has zilch to build upon. Thus due to my limited knowledge and cost constraint, i am planning to start with only 1X (AppleTV) and 1 X(TimeCapsule+USB hdd).

1) If i attach a simple USB hdd to the TimeCapsule, will i still need a working Mac to become the iTunes reference for the AppleTV?

2) Does the AppleTV only play h264 codec only? Does hacking it helps? This is a major headache for me as my files are of all sorts.
