Steve likes to cover all the necessary bases, but I'm not sure my inclination towards 1080p is shared by him as well. He likes talking about the 326ppi of the Retina Display being "comfortably over" the 300ppi limit of human retinas, but some of his preferences on other devices are according to what he perceives as "what he thinks the general public wants" and not what "actually" the public wants. Case in point? Blu-ray. If he's the man of "options", he's be allowing Blu-ray as CTO long time ago into the MBP lineup.
In any case, it depends on what the rumored new AppleTV/iTV spec is gonna be. If it is a down-specs but with other perks like the ability to install apps from AppStore, I'm gonna see if the benefit outweigh the downgrade in specs. If the pricetag sticks at USD99, it shouldn't be much of a decision, I'd probably get one, but only one. If they maintain the 1080p capability, then all three of my current AppleTVs will get replaced.

Yeah, i believed we had the Blu-ray part sometime back. Agreed on that too..
I think that the new Apple TV/iTV would have a smaller hard disk (presumably for the Darwin / iOS, apps and some system "junk", if you may)
Apple's gonna put that North California facility to good use, with all that cloud streaming thingy.
Now, talking bout apps, they sound like a very good prospect for the new Apple TV/iTV,
but would there be a chance at all that there will be such a thing as Apple TV/iTV 'optimized' apps?
Besides, the USD99 price tag sounds so tempting bro..
