let say i have a table wtih row n columns, eg. a multiply table like those in primary school.


for example as shown in attached excel file (zipped):

in cell C3 is 2 x 2 = 4, so the formula is '=C1*A3' rite? but then how do i fill the rest of the cells automatically? do u get what i mean? i mean for the rest of the cells in the table. my table/chart has more than 300 rows n 40 columns. n the sum of the cells need to add a value from another cell for example the value is in cell A1 = 5, so new formula is '=(C1*A3)+A1'. i tried to normal dragging the cells with formula to some other cells that needed to be fill but i won't work...

you have to do few samples.
then one shot hightlight the data with the formulaes, and copy and paste the formulaes.

the formulae will evaluate the cell of data to be calculated based of the formulae range you hightlight it.
