Heh I really doubt that we'd be able to sync the bookmarks.

Btw, you guys wanna share the other websites for themes, ringtones, applications and etc? I've found some n97 related forum but discussions are usually all about when they're gonna receive the n97 phone from nokia. I'm looking to get more themes and applications

Added on June 17, 2009, 7:27 pmDoes n97 have FM transmitter?

Yes it does. I understand that the forum is there for people to share but I believe we would appreciate better if one could do their homework (like using google for example) before asking

they are trying to rob you...

I went to one shop in MINES.. he is selling it at RM2899 when it launch like 2 days later...

I ask y so ex as i tot it was RM2480.. he got the cheek to tell me where i saw and why i didnt go and buy.. helo... he just dun understand what when i mentioned retail price is RM2480.... which means is an information site and not site for selling... and he just continue why i dun go buy from ther... idiot..

that shop have con a few ppl in getting the phone at his jacked up price... sorry for those poor ppl who got coned....
*
I dont think we can blame the shop. This is not conning. Conning is like selling a china iphone at an original iphone price. Afterall, goods are everywhere and it's up to the seller to decide how much they want their goods to be sold for. Can you say people are con men if they sell concert tickets at a much higher price ? It's really up to the buyers which is why we should all be wise consumers. With the technology nowadays researches can easily be done so there is really no excuse for someone to be cheated at buying stuff already.

The shop selling the phone at a much higher price is understandable because afaik the margin for this phone is really low. I believe it's somewhere in between RM 2100 - RM 2200. Unlike the past when people could sell n95 and etc at 3k ++ while their cost was 2.6k.

Regarding the broken camera, if I were the owner I would surely go back to the shop and complain because thats customer rights. Even though it was your fault at the first place that you didn't check properly but if you are so sure that the camera was already broken when you bought it then you should go ahead a claim your rights. It's people like that who increase the cheating rates in the market because a lot of people in malaysia aren't aware of customer rights. You buy a thing from a shop, it's defective, you go back and get the stuff back no matter what because YOU TRULY DESERVE IT. You paid for it with your hard earned money. If they refuse to replace a new one for you then keep complaining. I'd never let it go even if it's gonna take a lot of time because it's RM 2500 we're talking about.

Remember this,
if we've paid for something then we deserve to get what we've paid for. Nothing more, nothing less.

The lock and unlock button on the side sometimes works sometimes it doesn't, I have to keep lock and unlock until the backlight appears. You don't have any problem with it?
*
hm I don't have this problem. Works very well for me.

But they're going to charge you 3% to convert the purchase to 10 months installment (or 5% for 20 months installment), no longer considered as 0% interest.  sad.gif

I've subscribed to Maxis unlimited data plan already. Going to enjoy my Facebook and widgets on the move.  icon_rolleyes.gif

So it's only been a few days since I last posted here and where on earth did all the trolls come on? The thread was extremely fine even after 1-2 weeks of some of the earliest members sharing info and now out of sudden we have some people dissing the phone just after a few days usage?

This phone has its pros and cons. Like it or not it's up to you, it's really personal perference. I really do not see the point of complaining this phone continuously.

Heck, even the FirmWare update which is usually known as the major firmware for every good N series Nokia phone isn't released yet. Patience people, patience.

Damn, I'm stupid  tongue.gif

But I can't, got a lot of apps in there sad.gif Like my Garmin, I paid for it sad.gif

There is really no need to backup your applications as upgrading firmware will not affect your applications at all. All you need is backing up your contacts,mp3s,files etc.

My product code is 0586199 as well but I don't get the update as well. I'm not as eager as you guys though because my phone is working pretty well for me. I don't know why so many of you are bothered by the bugs. I guess I'm a pretty lucky person.

For those who are eager to upgrade their firmware here is a guide to update provided that you have to change your product code first. I would suggest you to use the Singapore product code since their languages and etc are most similar to us compared to the others.

I wonder how snakevenom managed to update his firmware, I've checked our product code 0586199 in the nokia website and it shows the latest firmware is still v10

It would appear that nobody have taken notice of what i have said few pages ago. I changed my product code, flashed and bricked it even though the NSU reported a successful update at the end. It has reportedly happen to many other people if you google it. Most of them happened because they tried to change the product code in order to update their firmware.
Here's the video of the exact problem i'm having after updating the firmware. Enjoy

Whether you want to heed my advice or not, it's up to you. I'm just sharing my experience. I have since sent my phone to Nokia Centre and i think it's ready for collection tomorrow.
*
Well, I was just sharing since a lot of them were complaining about the slow update Nokia is having.

Could it be due to you trying to debrand the phone and using the wrong product code? I believe none of the malaysian sets are branded and I tried to use the same product code similar to Malaysia only difference is the Country.

Changed product code to 0586300, upgraded firmware and now mine is working fine.

I think we should start reporting this guy already. He's getting out of the lines. None of his posts is really constructive IMO. Sounds more like a Nokia hater than a Nokia fan to me.
