There are already plans for this my friend. Announced earlier de.. haha.
ProGamers Arena has called for a meeting with the head of teams for COD4. Technically, i've decided to put promod for that arena, generally because promod lacks the limelight in Malaysia. That will give the boost it needs to even out the popularity our current ruleset has. ProGamers Arena is supported by the Ministry of Sports.
As for running tournaments, i will still be here to aid in running them, although i am still very much tied down to my job, ESP, ESPGL and many other life related objectives. Eventually, ESPG may become a company to run these events, but that will be in the future. For now, its a one man show, unless the gamers themselves are going to give up their rackets to do it.
I will set a date for that meeting, simply because there still needs to be a formal ruleset for us to use in promod (promod has 4 i think). It will be up to the promod players to choose which they prefer (if any) and eventually apply it to that league.
As for stand alone tournies, they will be hard to do, since the current sponsors for the tournaments are the same. Unless we find more, the prizes are going to be the same if not less in the coming months.
Sponsors can only give so much, so long as they dont get returns from their investments, we will see less and less from the companies. Strategically, cybercafe's can curb this problem because by promoting their cafe, generally there is chance for more income. Unlike cybercafe's, other non-industry related companies like Adidas/Nike, Spritzer etc etc, dont stand to gain much since they are hardly related to the industry, so it will be hard to get any sponsors from them. Larger established companies like SteelSeries/Razer dont need the publicity from us and usually opt to not sponsor teams unless they perform overseas. So yeah, you'll need to wait about a year before you see stuff like this

Im not only looking at COD4, im looking at the entire industry, so im not going to talk about perks/skills/spells blah blah, coz they are not related to what the big picture is. Eventually, if the industry is established these little things dont matter.
So yeah, promod will be in, but not as a replacement.
