QUOTE(Electric_Shaman @ Jul 12 2009, 05:00 AM) Sorry, no experience to offer yet, just been checking out translators for a trip in Europe. iTranslate has an ultimate edition (just search itranslate ultimate) which offers 5 dictionaries, it's 80% off at 2USD at the moment; but there's no Thai so don't know if it's any use to you. The lite version of the ultimate seems worth a download at least, as I couldn't find any limitations in the software, just ads. itranslate ultimate still needs to be online to use. I juz checked the description for the lite versionedit: just found a free thai-english dictionary called "Thai Dict" that says it can be used offline: haven't managed to check it out yet though, ipod isnt with me and Wow ! Thanks for the "Thai Dict", at last 1 that can be used offline. Too bad it's just a dictionary instead of translator though, which means it can't recognize sentences . At 1st i tried and it "works" ! Got something come out in thai , then i try another sentence, same meaning. Then i thought, it should mean "Sorry translation failed" or something haha |

@wadever:
There is, but this perticular one doesn't come with Push Notifications (if you're looking for that). Search 'Birthday Notification'. |

Guys, my uncle who is an iPhone user was messing with an app called "Global.AQ" he got off the app store, and damn, it was pretty good. What is it capable of doing? Well, it's capable of sending text messages to other mobile phones (Works perfectly in Malaysia) without any charges! The only problem is that the end receiver would not be able to know who the sender actually is as the number on the receivers mobile phone wouldn't seem to right, but to some, this may be a golden opportunity to prank someone!
I haven't bought it so I can't really provide the pros and cons of it, but from what I saw earlier today, it's a pretty decent app. All you need is a wi-fi connection, and hey presto! Oh, of course, you need to add the country code thing which is +6 for Malaysia. (Not 100% sure though). Give it a shot peepz. |

Global sms will have its own ++88xxxxx number.I haven't bought it so I can't really provide the pros and cons of it, but from what I saw earlier today, it's a pretty decent app. All you need is a wi-fi connection, and hey presto! Give it a shot peepz. i did tried send text via ipod touch to my maxis 017 number, i received it immediately with no delay at all.. but sender cannot reply to this number, so when u text, u have to put ur name in ur text so receiver will know who sending it and they have to reply to your mobile number not the +88xxxxxx global AQ sms number. and lastly, im not sure if there is limit sms per day. still cool |
