hey guys, what are the differences between cq40-125/126 and 133/134?
both are 2099/2299 rite? do you think it'll be cheaper at pc fair? and does HP still give freebies with this model (thmbdrive, external HDD, etc) ? |

so 133/134 is the replacement for 125/126? have sellers dropped the price of 125/126?
here's my logic, if 115 is priced at rm1549 and 133 is rm2099, then 125 should be priced in between rite? around rm1800 perhaps? so given the choice of these 3, which would be the best value for money? better to buy 115 at pc fair for 1549, or is it worth to spend extra rm500 on 125 or 133? |

In terms of best bang for the buck, my vote goes to the 115AU at that price. It's so ridiculously low with the specs given. If I have no idea what kind of notebook the 115AU is, and someone tells me "Hay there's this cheap 14" notebook at the pcfair selling for RM1549! Go grab it man!"
I'd probably say... "Wut? Does it come with a Celeron processor, 512MB memory, 60GB HDD, and that shitty Intel integrated graphics? It's an FTEC isn't it??" Seriously. Grab it, and max out the memory. Even a stick of 2GB DDR2 800 is bloody cheap now. According to the latest pricelist at VIEWNET, it's RM70. After maxing the memory, sell the default 1GB DDR2 667 for RM20 or so since a brand new one is only about RM40. Either that or you use it as a keychain. Cost after upgrading to 4GB: RM1689. Your non-pc enthusiasts friends/colleagues/etc will surely drool. "Wah! So cheap! Dual core processor, 160GB hard disk, ATI graphic, 4GB memory! Somemore got HDMI! Where you buy?" |

ooh ok i didnt know it can support up to 4gb.
but in terms of ati3200 vs 3450, is there much difference? like is there an obvious advantage in playing certain games when using 3450 compared to 3200? |

no...
basically both are the same except that HD 3450 has higher memory bandwidth (64-bits vs 16-bits) and HD 3450 comes with it's own memory... |

It was specifically designed with Vista in mind so... you know.
