There is still no i repeat no APPLE STORE in Malaysia, they are all Resellers or Sub Contractors to be exact, the Price of Apple Products and accessories made by Apple and has the official Apple Trademark are all controlled price and is the same at all stores, use Apple Online Store as you reference if you wish. However third party accessories made for Apple Products such as Belkin,Griffin,Switcheasy are sold at different prices, find the best store that offer competetive pricing and buy from them if you must.

no matter how good or how many times you explain that there will be still be blur blur people. Why waste your breath? I tell windows ppl not to simply open executable files but they still do it doh.gif
of coz on mac no need to worry XP

The website doesn't say minimum purchase to be eligible for membership card. If I buy universal dock, am I eligible to get membership card? If can then I have to do these  doh.gif  cry.gif  doh.gif coz I didn't ask for the membership card when I bought universal dock two days ago at 1U.

No, you need to get an ipod or a Mac to be a member. And it IS on the website... on the membership page under terms and conditions.

Technically, which reseller shop having more professional in fixing problems?
AFAIK... ppl working at the service desk have some sort of qualification from apple... (so they bukan 'calang calang punya orang' ^.^) So u can hold them responsible if they screw up ur machine, somehow. So to answer that question generally, there are no people more pro at one reseller than the other...

QUOTE
I feel Machines peoples are just into sales more than into technical stuff..

Owh come on.. u sure ur talking to the right people? U want technical talk to the service guys.. dun ask the sales team techie questions, nt all sales person that tech savy. (eg ask what exact intel chipset da macbook pro is using) sure they dunno wan. Besides rember , google knows it all.. go do ur research 1st

QUOTE
I don't mind the long walking if they provide me on the spot checking & fixing whatever they can at the same hour.

Who doesn't want fast & good service? rclxms.gif

Any apple store do have installment but some shop may charge 2% or 2.5%. As I know Machines and Epic centre waived the charges. From my experience and I just bought MBP 3 days ago, epic centre got the best deal compare to machines and mac city. Moreover, epic centre staffs are very helpful. So, I recommend you to ask promotion in epic centre before decide. Just share with you, hope it helps.

my dear its: epicenter
very suay loh if we keep calling them that
we don't want them to have any epic (fail) anytime soon, if not one less apple reseller, less competition. and one less place to get better deals cry.gif

RE: Macbook air USB port
quoting just the voltage is inrelevent
V, voltage is a measure of electrical potential difference
Its is more about the power the port can deliver:
Power,P = Potential Diff,V x Current,I

QUOTE
ok for those of you who still cant get over the fact that theres charges on the EPP 0% by Machines. They will omit the charges if you are willing to not go for promotion or membership rebate meaning to say,you go to the shop get a mac and thats it,you can enjoy 0% EPP without any charges.

In other words its about the same without EPP or not, u mean, if i take a machine with member rebate 2% then get charge back when using credit card with EPP another 2%+/-. So, End up quite close to apple's recommended retail pricing?

If i'm not wrong, yes you can, but it the purchase has to be an apple hardware (mac/ipod) or purchases above 1k

the reason why i asked is because i went to machines klcc few days ago, thinking to buy macbook. i got a little dissapointed to hear about the EPP surcharge (6 mths 2% and 12 mths 4%). the fella didnt say anything about members getting 2% rebate or anything like that.

however i did buy an ipod 5.5g frm them long time ago but at that time i dont think they have this membership program yet. i might be wrong tho.
*
Probly the guy didnt mention it, its because you still have to pay the full amount(meaning on top of... coz surcharge), the rebate is in points (rm1=1 point) stored in membership which then can be used for another item in the same receipt or in the future
How exactly the membership works is clarified in earlier posts in this thread, forget the 0% interest EPP and apply the surcharges on top of what's mentioned
