Was just at Machines, Gardens (MidValley) trying to decide between the 20" and 24" iMacs. Two sales assistants came to offer their help but still gave me space to play around on my own. thumbup.gif I don't like being "hounded" when I'm in a shop.

Was overhearing one of them explaining Macs to a newbie. She spent quite some time with him patiently explaining thru iMacs, Mac Pros, Macbooks, iPods and even AppleTV. From what i could hear, she's pretty much knowledgeable about all. Only comment was when she said you could rent shows using the AppleTV. Not exactly right since iTunes Malaysia doesn't allow you to do that yet. Didn't catch her name but her tag had a "Junior Sales" on it. (BTW, when she smiles, some might even say she's hot wink.gif )

Ok, so, anybody want to try to convince me the extra RM1100 is worth it to get the 24" over the 20"? Yes, I know about the rumours of upcoming MacWorld but I'd rather get it this month. Tax rebate being one of my few reasons for the rush. rclxub.gif

KLmurf,
I can't quite figure out what would you want to be "convinced" to part RM1100?
I didn't ask that question in the shop as like you said, would be a futile effort. What I meant was that I am still trying to decide between the 20 and 24in. Technically, the 20" is enough for what I need it to do. As both have the same gpu, the main advantage of the 24 would be bigger screen real estate. I suppose that's something nice (but not critical) to have when editing photos and home movies (consumer level, not pro mind you). Of course, when I think about watching movies on it from my bed... then of course the 24 is fantastic! So basically, my head's saying 20", my heart's saying 24" rclxub.gif

As to the tax rebates..... who knows what might happen next year with the way things are going now wink.gif sweat.gif

Anyway, I'm leaning more towards getting a 20" and a Time Capsule or Airport Extreme now, in preparation of getting a updated AppleTV next year.

The gen 2 version was released in September. I seriously doubt there would be a revision so soon. IF there is, it is likely to be a only software upgrade.
