QUOTE(milosevens @ Dec 3 2008, 07:47 PM) no lah..educational discount i think government pay.. It's hard to be sure but from your post are you suggesting that somehow, our Malaysian government is subsidizing purchases made at the Apple Education store? If so, dude, how old are you? If not, could you please learn to post so people could actually understand you? This post has been edited by MacDaNife: Dec 3 2008, 08:16 PM

QUOTE(ff8ong @ Dec 4 2008, 09:31 PM) Those are premium reseller mah.....malaysia got apple store..i happy like hell. Why? For the stuff? American AppleStores may have more stuff but so does the online version as compared to our local one. The Malaysian retail one, should it exist, would only have access to the same suppliers as our present resellers. They will undoubtedly be under the exact same constraints. ... or for the people? If you've been to American AppleStores, you'll notice the people they employ are the same type of 20-somethings that are employed by our local resellers. Only difference being hair-colour as natural shade of brown versus the dye-ed version that seems peculiar to handphone and computer sales staff. Reason is simple: they work cheap and need the job. Hardly the most knowledgeable and customer friendly type but its the bottom-line that counts in the end.

QUOTE(terencetoo @ Dec 8 2008, 08:52 AM) how bad is the services at Machines? i think most of the customer service staff knows most of the ppl coming into their shop just browsing and touching the stuff only...where is ther's a uncle/ or auntie they might entertaint them coz they are chances they might buy the products But that's just IT isn't it. Salespeople just fail to understand that their job is to ASSIST people who enter the store. Instead they see people in the store as the source of their sales commission. And those who do not provide said commission are ignored. Its a failure to see the big picture, an emphasis on the short term profit versus long term gain.

QUOTE(nimrod323 @ Dec 8 2008, 12:38 PM) probably they'll open by the end of the month. Added on December 8, 2008, 12:50 pmTheres also quite of number of people who dont want sales people to breath down their necks. Even if the sales person comes and offers assistance they'll be shunned. Like i say a sales person sees hundreds of customers but the customer only sees 1 or 2 sales person but we always place the blame on the sales person, customer service is prudent but most of us abuse it to a certain degree but we still blame the sales person for it. It works both ways i guess. How difficult is it to say "hello, if you need me I'm here to help" with a smile then allow the shopper some personal space? Instead what you normally get is a "Cans I helps you?" followed by look that says "If you don't want to buy, you might as well leave now".
