I helped my friend to format her laptop..

I formatted her C drive. All the files in D drive are still there.

Is there any software which can be used to recover files(mainly JPEG) found in C:Desktop and C:My documents?

I just tried a program downloaded from internet but it only allow me to recover up to 1MB of file, more than that you have to buy from them..Hopefully there is a free software ..

THANKS

DAVID

It's possible to recover those files as long as they've not been rewritten over. It'll cost a lot if you send it to a specialist but I doubt freeware will be able to recover it for you AFTER you've formatted, normally after deleted can recover but not AFTER format. Just my 2 cents.

It is possible, try using Recover My Files. It have option to recover files from formatted partition, but it's not freeware though...

By the way, talking about recovering software, any shops or distributors selling data-recovery software in Low Yat?
