KGB Archiver 2 beta 2

KGB Archiver is the compression tool with an unbelievably high compression rate. Unfortunately, in spite of its powerful compression rate, it has high hardware requirements (I recommend processor with 1,5GHz clock and 256MB of RAM as an essential minimum). dunno.. the 1st postm it/s arabic vista.. then it's xp for the XP 10MB only file..

erm.. FYI KGB can also compress files to ZIP and RAR instead of KGB

whats ur pc spec alienwarez?
looks like it doesnt took so long for u to 'pack' that file into small one.

i also want to see if i can uncompress the files from .rar with winrar

compress 120mb rmvb file. need 4-5hr !! (intel Q8200 cpu)

it only utilise 1 core.

i've tried it and it took me 2 days to compress 4.5gb ISO to 1gb.

be careful when using KGB on important documents ... make sure you're just testing only

the compressed file most of the times cannot be uncomprssed properly ...

to those who is adventurous in compresssing files, you can try PAQ, NanoZip, or FreeArc. All are quite stable and can achieve higher ratio.

I decompressed some files earlier. All of them were corrupted.

i close this topic,cuz this software not good...i also face the corrupt problem sometime..
