My Progress continues from here link

Updates :-

Proc : Intel C2Q QX9650 (on hand)
Mobo : Biostar TPower I45 (on hand)
Ram : Crucial Ballistix 1GB DDR800 x 4 (on hand)
Cooler : Undecided (Sunbeam Core Contact or Xigmatek Achillies)
PSU : CM Extreme 450w (Corsair 620hx modular or Silverstone ST60F modular)
Casing : Currently CM 331 (decided on black Gigabyte 3D Aurora 570)

Guys, previous project stalled a bit due to u guys saying 4.5Ghz on E8400/E8500 not really viable and some recommend me to go for Quad core since I will be doing a lot of video encoding and 3D app rendering. I have the proc, mobo and ram already now, need to decide on PSU and CPU cooler thats all. Hope you guys can help me out here with good suggestions.

My aim : To get the highest stable clock speed for 12-hour a day use. I'll let you guys decide on the max frequency because my goals seems to be a bit unrealistic.

Thanks first for any suggestions or comments

4.5GHz on QX9650, hope u will get to this point on SCCF.
It really depends on pure luck on air cooled..

video encoding = processor dependent while 3d app rendering is gpu dependent.

Continue your discussion on that thread, I don't see a need to open a new thread just for it.

Your old thread has been moved to Hardware Q&A
