He meant you can still go online but since MS is doing a crackdown on piracy and modded consoles of their box, if youre "lucky", MS will ban you from Xbox Live.

yup,partly correct...caz normally MS start banning by batch...so u have to be aware of the banning period,and the chances are highly if u use a modded console to play Xbox Live during that period of time....but if u don go online,then jz play till u drop,no1 can ban ur console besides ur parents/gf perhaps...haha
