Dude, I am telling you common sense la..
As a seller, i can see if the phone is damaged due to natural causes or etc..
My experience with Midland however, differs..
I sent b4 a cracked LCD n Midland helped me 2 replace it with no problem whatsoever~
So, if Ori, as i recommend 2 ppl 2 buy, Warranty easy settle..
If AP, no need dream 2 get replacement lol~
As i said earlier, you go find Midland/Authorized SE reseller and tell them the screen crack..
Reason say dunno also..
Act like IT/Phone noob~

A word of warning on some Original Nokia Malaysian set. Apparently, there are NO Chinese input as secondary languages while writing messages etc. So you might as well go buy the cheaper AP set.

Here's the confirmation from Nokia.
"Thank you for emailing Nokia Careline.
In response to your inquiry, please note that the language pack made available on a Nokia phone is market and country dependent. Other Chinese writing form is only available on Nokia phones sold in countries where that style is mainly used.

It is not possible to add the extra forms as a language option on your Nokia E52 as the language pack is also part of the phone software."

Dont simply spread fake news if u do not know. Read the email properly.

You buy original set not to add additional language pack but for its warranty and service. 2ndly the E52 you are talking about is from which region if in malaysia the default languages are english,BM and chinese

I got Avaxx set. I can have Chinese as Primary Language as an option meaning everything is in Chinese. But when using English as Primary Language, you CAN NOT have Chinese as Secondary Languages when writing messages. Only English/Melayu/Indonesia are available as Secondary Languages. Apparently, from Nokia's email reply, Chinese is not used in Malaysia but Indonesia is. Go figure.

What it means is, when you wanted to write SMS and setting your phone to English Primary Language, you can only write in English/Melayu/Indonesia. Not Chinese. In real life, we sometime do have to input some Chinese name into our mainly English messages but with E52, you can't.

Don't believe me? Go call up Nokia at 1-300-88-1600 yourself.

Funny you should mention warranty. I called up Nokia and was told we have to produce the warranty card and the receipt every time we needed warranty repair work. But I asked the lady, what happens if I happens to be in Japan and needed warranty repair? Surely Nokia would not expect their customer to be carrying those papers together with their passport every where they went, would they? Surely Nokia has to allow some sort of online warranty registration and surely they have heard of the Internet able to check with their central server the status of any particular phone coming form Nokia.

OK, my example may be going to far. But if you live in Penang and happens to be Kota Kinabalu and your phone needed repair, how then? Carry your warranty card and receipt everywhere you go?

From my experience Original Nokia phones do not require warranty card. They have your phone IMEI in their system and if there is zitron, avaxx, sapura or arista sticker means its original they know.

Usually only AP phones requires warranty card because they have no way to track.

I not sure why they ask u to bring your receipt and warranty card for original.

If you don't bring those, they want you to 'kowtow' to them or else they throw the book at you and insist on warranty card+receipt and there is nothing you can do. That way, even if you are damn mad at Nokia service/quality, you still put on your best smile.

Conspiracy theory? May be not because I further asked, what if we are willing to pay for the service because we do not have the documents on us at that time but when back at the office, we submit them to reclaim back the money we paid. Official answer from Nokia is "no, we are not going to give you back your money".

I know someone would say i am spreading fake news. Well, you people can always call up Nokia at 1-300-88-1600 yourself.

I dont even know where all my receipts are btw. I go there with the phone past it to them. They type my Imei to system and tell me u still have 3 more months then ask me wat problem den fix

Phones send to centre before Nokia 8800 ARTE CARBON, Nokia E71, Nokia N95, Nokia E75 and Nokia 5800XM Original set

I am only writing what Nokia told me. Since you reported a totally different experience from what Nokia told me, may be Nokia is saying one thing but practice another? Or may be it depends entirely on whether the Nokia fellow attending you like your face or not?

BTW, I called because I do not like surprises later when service is required and I am away from home.
