Ap stands for approval product so usually the origin of ap phone is outside Malaysia.

Why would someone get a phone origin from Malaysia and sell it ad ap except for it's stolen, refurbish set.

When this phone is from another country it could be different in the packaging for nokia example if u buy a nokia phone from Asia pacific u usually get 3 language. If you bought an Arabian set from Dubai the keypad character could be Arabian, language could be Arabian and English only.

Maybe the charger using different voltage, additional freebie. Like some country law they don't allow radio transmission so for nokia n8 in that country it's disable but in Malaysia enable and etc.

Have you guys ever came across seller with "Ori AP Oversea" sets?
basically what does it means?
isit safe for us to buy? for instance I think there's one seller here.

AP is original just the origin of the phone is not locally where you are buying from.

Example if the device warranty is in germany it doesnt mean that device you can get warranty in malaysia.

AP means the device he paid tax so the device is legit just no warranty by OFFICIAL DISTRIBUTOR. The warranty might cover by AH BENG or some inexperience technician. So it at your own risk.

Since they lower the tax now original phones are quite cheap the difference in AP not much

If you are a tech savy = can consider AP
If you are non tech savy = get ORI

If price different RM1 - RM300 = straight get ori
If price different RM301 - infinity = consider AP

hey thanks for sharing guidance suggestion

actually here's the link http://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?showtopic=2340720&hl=

anyone would like to review on them about reputation?
they mention alot about their warranty and service.

phone are actually just mere <Rm200 cheaper than original RRPs. which is about our local Ori set which is sold on mobile phone store instead of their official centre.

Its very hard to tell dude because 1st they are new 2nd most buyer have not exceed their 1st year warranty and claim their extended warranty.

Until they proven their credibility is best to go for original. Next question how long their warranty process will take? 1 day 1month 1 week 1 year? and how do u claim warranty?

Authorized distributor service centre are found all around malaysia.

they said their technician are trained? by who? by ah beng? University of repair handphones? If you want peace of mind get original for now.

They are small timer so what can you expect? How many personnel do they have? If they become big with service centre all around malaysia then worthy it.

Lastly they said warranty only but never specify what does the extended warranty covers? Maybe motherboard only we never know

They also claim if you urgent you can get back your phone tat day if they have stock? so anyone tried that service. I do not know.

~.~

He used the phone for less than 2 hours after he noticed something wrong... Just on the phone with the dealer... offer refund.. but my brother will lose RM380 (of course he can't refund to the shop will full price, as the phone is now considered 2nd hand...)
He paid the price RM1180 for the phone... and the shop offer him a refund of RM800
So huge difference

Should he take the refund offer.. (use less than 2 hours... but lose ~RM400).. just because the shop's definition of "Korea AP" is different ~.~

Please be specify la how do yo want ppl to help you

1st Please state what phone is that.

2st whats the something wrong your friend notice? List it down

3rd No such thing as Korea AP but AP is AP they do that to cheat you.

3rd There is not refund that is call trade in? I do not recommend you to trade in because the shop takes in RM800 then he will resell about RM850 to RM900 inclusive the price your friend bought he will make about at least RM300 to RM400 from your deal.

4th In away its consider 2nd hand in a way its NOT. That is how shop make that extra money. Take low sell high.

he makes about RM380 from the deal he sold to your bro. Then resell that trade in device alittle higher so he will make at least RM450 or higher.

I've returned the phone witha refund of RM1k.
That's 180 for a lesson...

Before that, I went to Tribunal Pengguna and KPNDKK (or smth), discuss with them.
They say, it is possible to get the refund but they will also consider the depreciation value, and they told me, it might take up to a month before I was called for any kind of trial. Within that one month, a lot of thing can happen. And for a non-original stuff (imitation) the depreciation rate will be higher... And I might be getting less...

So, this'll be quite a lesson for me tongue.gif ...

Thanks again for those who helped in any way :]
