I'm sorry if this is a repost smile.gif But I would like to ask if there is any remote desktop that allows us to access to another computer without permission? laugh.gif Or monitor. It would be great if the remote desktop automatically loads on computer startup laugh.gif laugh.gif

Only VNC? Not ultra VNC? So means.. Whenever someone boots up his/her comp, it'll automatically load and I can access it? smile.gif Can I use this through the internet? Not local biggrin.gif

The default Windows remote desktop doesn't need any steps after booting too. It's remote.

Yes , Yes and Yes

You'll have to setup a password with it. Make sure that you have a port punched in if you're using a router. Thats it. You can control PCs remotely !

Its another term of saying opening a port. If you're behind a router , so that the remote computer can connect. Otherwise your PC is hidden in your own network and the outside world can't see it !

If you're directly connecting using Windows' Dialer (i.e Connect to Streamyx). Then just ignore it

www.portforward.com . You should check that site out if you wish to port forward and use this software behind a router. If your router has uPnP it would automatically configure for you !

In the first place I don't see why you have to use VNC or other software for remote desktop. All Windows XP and Vista comes with Windows Remote Desktop and none of them are so dumb to require manual startup or permission on a remote computer.

Beg to differ there. Windows XP Home and Vista Home Editions doesn't allow users to connect remotely to the computer. Only Professional edition of XP and Business/Ultimate edition of Vista allows the PC to be the host. Of course if you're talking about the client software , its bundled in all versions of XP and Vista !

I'm fed with professional and server editions of Windows all these while. I took it for granted. My mistake. Sorry.

It wouldn't log off but it will just show the list of users but it does not require permission on the host. What are you attempting to do?

@mengsuan,

How can we remote access pc with Remote Desktop Connection without logging off another user? I thought by default, when one user logging in with Remote Desktop Connection, another user will be logging off?
