I had just reformat my laptop. however, when i boot up the windows (with portable harddisk plug in), the windows cannot start successfully. If I din plug in the portable harddisk, it seem no problem in booting up the system. What is the problem causing it? I'm using Windows Vista Business
Is it because of BIOS or what?
Thanks in advance

Getting Started

|
Check in CMOS whether you have enabled the option to boot from USB device. If yes, disable it.

Thanks in advance To make it simple, when you restart your computer. Leave the external HDD unplugged and restart your computer. Enter the BIOS by pressing "DEL" or one of the "F + Numerical numbers key" and enter the BIOS ad set the BIOS to default settings, it fixes most of my problems after I screw up my boot-procedure of mess up my OCing.

You just set your BIOS to optimal setting..and do not plugin your external HD during boot process
