To those getting it, do set aside us$16.28 (us$14.99 + tax us$1.29) in your PSN wallet.
*
To save on tax you should change your 'US address' for your PSN US ID to a state which do not tax digital downloads, like Florida. At the moment around 16 States in the US have tax on digital downloads, so long you are not 'addressed' in those states you should be exempted tongue.gif .

Oh, am a big fan of SSFII, add me for any SF2 tourneys or casual games. Really need to get a new arcade joystick for this and the upcoming Street Fighter 4. So far the remix is living up to the reviews, my only gripes are the lack of a score for the arcade mode and non recognition of your perfect wins.

My PSN ID is THEONEJIN.

ya man, i didn't felt the lag ... this is interesting, we are fighting each other and me no see lag and you see lag ... something is not right man ... hahha
*
Guess Streamyx has not fully recovered while IZZY is clearly providing better dl speed (you're using IZZY rite). My last few matches online with you have also been laggy with random disconnections. Sometimes I need to try several times before being able to sign on back PSN. However on the positive side, the line seems slightly better than the week before smile.gif.

Anyway thanks to all for the matches.

Oh, I am keen on procuring a SFIV FightStick, so will try my luck persuading some of the game retailers/distributors this weekend to bring it in before I attempt importing it. Anyone else interested please PM me, am confident if I could get at least 3 others, I could push a distributor to import it in at a reasonable price (do expect it to be at least RM650 and above).

Hopefully with the Stick my match can improve a little and I can finally get to properly control my fav character on SSF2HDR and SF4 tongue.gif ha ha.

bro, yes me using IZZI ... at times it have its own problem too

regarding the SFIV Fight Stick, you referring to the TE version ?? hmm for RM650, i guess it is not any cheaper compared to buying online usd149 + shipping. Isn't it faster if you pre order ?
*
Yup am referring to TE. RM650 is my guesstimate with retailers mark up. Compared to pre-ordering online would be around USD150+USD70 shipping (from Lizard Lick Amusements) with the hassle of customs clearance. Yup it should be slower through retailers if they choose cheaper shipping methods.

I came across this youtube video showing insane combos/juggles and the classic akuma bug for SSF2HDR.
Link to video.

I need to train harder liao! Hopefully Mikeeeee doesn't master the ken 13 hit super combo tongue.gif.

last night i game on quite late, only jin and walrus still online ... great games jin !! but walrus didn't join .. maybe too busy fighting others
fought a few mat salleh from the quick friendlies and surprisingly the number of people choosing ken seems have increased !! most of the games were laggy and only bearable at most.
BTW guys, have you guys ever get any HATE mail from those u beaten ??? hahaha I received a hate mail after beating some dhalsim with ken hahaha .. dem funny ...
*

tongue.gif I was practically spamming Honda headbutts at your Gief. Wow you continued on after I left!

Yeah some people are sore losers, sending hate mail to a stranger is funny! I have receive a few too, but none for SSFIIHDR yet. However have encountered some who purposely disconnect when they are just about to lose a scoreboard match! Sometimes they get lucky and get awarded a win too.

On another issue, lately my line has been a bit laggy, so I wonder whether any of you experience the following when your line lags?
You see the first few frames of a successful throw, but instead you get thrown,
your super seemed to be executed nicely, when suddenly you get hit/thrown and your super bar replenishes to full,
or you are like half a screen length away from the opponent when suddenly you get thrown/ hit.
The strange thing is it is not for the whole match and your opponent is not teleporting here and there too. rclxub.gif

Oh I am also part of the DS3 gang as well.

I really really don't like the idea of doing all the chars unlocking and clearing of all the trials AGAIN. Serves me right for being impatient and getting the R3 first.
*

We are in the same boat! I had wasted lots of time clearing challenges and would really dread at the prospect replaying some of the hard survival and time attack challenges again. Guess I will only start on CE once my fightstick arrives, hope it will be much easier using it instead of a DS3. I wonder what would happen to the battle points/ online ranking though, whether it would carry over?

Also :
(An interview with producer Yoshinori Ono from a recent Famitsu suggest Dee Jay and T.Hawk have already been developed into to pre-texturing 3D models. For T.Hawk, the developers even went so far as to come up with plans for how the character would fight in SFIV. Said Ono: "If there's demand from users, we're ready to revive them at any point.")
Source: Andriasang
The introduction of these two characters through DLC will complete the rooster from Super rclxms.gif . Must go bug them developers.

I do agree that SFHD performs much better during times of lag than SFIV, well at least I still can input commands during teleportation. It takes some adjustments adapting to the timing between the two games. I wonder, the default play speed is 3 for SFHD, if I would to change it to 1 would the timing be less jarring as compared to SFIV, must experiment it tonight tongue.gif .

For those who ordered the fightstick TE and wondered about the delay, click here for personal insight from a fan who secured one, across the straits.

While you are there, do check out his other well written blogs and videos of some of the top Singapore SFIV players.

I do agree with Mike and Fremont, playing online is most definitely not mainly about winning or performing your absolute best, but much more about learning/training (new tricks/combo/ etc), having a laugh or just making friends. I have always considered online matches as friendlies, where we have fun and share knowledge rather than an intense battle/ tournament. That is why, I prefer spectating matches in SFIIHDR, which I find SF4 is seriously lacking. Anyway to each their own.

Though I must admit the lag sometimes frustrates the best of us, especially when your inputs for SF4 just refuses to come out, or when you are at the receiving end of impossible moves in SF2HDR, but I feel that is the price you sometimes have to pay for the convenience of playing online at home, on your comfy sofa.

Oh, let me also thank some of you all, for your patience of spamming invites after invites and waiting for me to connect. My line has been absolutely horrendous this past few days! Strangely though, I have a few friends who have no problems at all connecting to me with just a single invite rclxub.gif and am to date, still trying to figure out how we can connect so easily!

Actually I need a favour from any of you, and I will repay the same. I am trophy-whoring now and besides clearing the %^$%^*$* Hard Trial Challenge mode I need to get 10 straight wins over Ranked matches. As you know, getting matches which are +2 bars and above AND being able to connect to the person is darn hard already, AND even more challenging when the connection gets laggy.
*
I got no prob helping you out as well and ease the drain on Mike's BP.

I had managed to get that trophy recently, but during my quest I realised that the bars are not directly related to lag. 7 out of all my consecutive ranked wins were from no bars connection of which 6 were practically lag free! In fact the match which I nearly lost due to lag was a 4 bar match rclxub.gif. FYI all my ranked wins were challenges from the arcade mode at the hardest setting, best of 3 99 secs rounds. Maybe you might want to test out playing bar-less ranked challengers and see how it goes before we assist you tongue.gif ?

Anyway might need your advise later on some of the challenge mode trials both normal and hard. Can't seem to complete them even with videos (oh till my TE stick arrives am still using my good olde DS3) and that ken hard trial 5 is crazy! I still got 8 trophies left. Oh if you got any problems with the hard time or survival challenges just use Gief, his lariat plus double head butt sure stun move makes it a breeze.

you try the HARD survival, level 1.....i reached round 71, and still not finished....i gave up........imagine, 71 rounds and still not done!!!
*
Of course, for HARD survival, round 71 is far, far from over,.... as its endless tongue.gif ! You are fighting for the most rounds won on the leaderboard, there are already people who have reached more than 900+ rounds won blink.gif . If you want to get a gold medal for any of the hard survival stages, just 40 wins will do. However I do agree that it is extremely time consuming and tedious! After don't know how many hours spent on challenges, I am still short of converting a few silver medals to gold, but I still find survival/timed challenges much less frustrating then some of the impossible hard trial challenges mad.gif !

Back to the thread topic, click HERE for more SFHD Remix Patch fix details.

As for the thread title change may I suggest just adding an additional phrase say : "Super Street Fighter II The HD Remix (PS3) and SF repository, The community is growing !!" or something on that line. Guess it's a mouthful, but at least newcomers to the thread would not be so surprise to find other SF related topics being discussed here. Alternative, guilty parties like me could just post all SF4 related topics to the appropriate thread ha ha.

Can I check on how many are still using wifi and whether you face problems connecting for matches? I can't seem to connect with some people like Mike, while face little problems (well other than lag) connecting to say Bliss or Fruitler. The strange thing is I can't even connect thru the patched SFIIHDR cry.gif now. Previously I have not face any major connection problems and my network settings has always remained status quo. Will be testing out wired today temporarily to determine whether my wifi is the culprit. Can't always use wire as its a good distance away from my router (PC room) to my PS3 and a wire running across rooms is extremely messy!

5 more icons and titles (they come together) and Platinum for me yay!
*

Yo bro interested to work together on some titles/icons especially "Bitter Victor - Unlocked by winning 30 rounds via Judgement".

I've only completed a few characters for hard trial, now working on Ken and stuck on the final test , damn...
*

Ya the hard trial 5 for Ken is crazy, after many weeks and a very sore thumb I gave up trying, I might seek some expert assistance soon brows.gif . Another killer for me is the El- Feurte hard trial 4, looks so easy, but the timing is beyond me!

For those interested, e-Capcom Japan, is taking orders for the official DVD (to release in July) of the January 2009 Tokyo SF4 National Tournament in which Iyo (Dhalism) won. The price 5,040yen shocking.gif. It comprises all matches from the qualifying tournament to all 128 matches of the official tournament. For details click here.

Seems Akuma has been banned from the Evo SSFIIHDR tourney, partly due to the block-stun to Raging Demon bug. Click Here for more on it.

Also, the same blogger has a good write up on E Honda for HDR, do click Here to have a read. He is clearly a very good Honda player, with a strong interest in sumo.
While you are at that site, Allisfighter, check out their innovative Ladder ranking system and forums for SFIV on how they conduct online tournaments, similar to what gootecks is proposing to do. I like how they divide their players by regions to allow for easy connection, too bad no one outside US and Europe seems to be joining.

Added:
The SFIV tournament at Singapore this Friday 27/03/09 seems exciting :

Yagami (the organiser) even managed to invite Laugh, a top 3 ranked player from Korea to participate in this all out 2v2 16 teams battle. Note to self must organise a day/overnight road trip there when a certain Japanese pro comes down whistling.gif .

wah lau !! ALL also use ThE STICK !!

how to fight lar !! sad.gif

It's not the stick that counts, its the person tongue.gif.
Anyway I find my DS3, at the moment easier to use and definitely more convenient as I can lie on my recliner to play ha ha.

Check out the interview with a smiling Daigo and Iyo at CAPCOM-UNITY! Guess Iyo's answer to "Who is your favorite character to play?"
» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «
No points for guessing who is Daigo's fav character.
