sry im newbie,

never own a psp,

thing is,
if i buy a psp3000 + its 4GB card (with the CFW v5.033 M33-6)
supposely i go buy another 8GB card, and go get some games and want to try to put it on the new card,

question is, how i do it? i mean while my psp still on with the CFW running, do i just copy new games into the new 8GB card and start playing, by pulling the card and inserting the new card, or do i hv to put sumthing (files maybe?) into the new card ?

anyway, sifu sifu here i wan to ask again,
so like if i buy a psp3k with the temp mod, then if i wan play ori umd, just put the umd la kan, but wouldnt it be like if we want to play newer games, the firmware (ori) needed to be upgraded so as to play the ori UMD, and if we want to run homebrew again, how do we load up the chicken thing again?

dont we need to hv lower ori firmware to be able to launch the chicken ?

so sry, maybe this question oledi asked many times, since im getting my 1st psp today, i like to learn more abt the psp capability.
and also learn more from all sifus experience.

wish i can do that, but here where i live (kk, sbh) current price for normal psp3k (black) is already RM1xxx
even more if u choose to get the colour option RM12xx - Rm13xx

thus i choose to learn from sifu in here and buy from relible forumers.
same thing but cheaper price. (tight budget)

err i read, from threads, the chicken follows our psp behaviour, which is we try loading until few times then can load the chicken, then after chicken then load the enabler ... sifu sifu, am i right? i also afraid if psp got shut off then get same prob like yuchery ...

but the links are in rapidshare, well u know broadband celcom users, like me, we all share 1 i.p (wonder y celcom so rich can only provide users with only 1 static and shared on all user in wole malaysia, and i thought streamyx was lousy, .. duhh 2x5 also la), so if we try to download, the rapidshare server tells us u cant download, cause ur i.p is already downloading ... bla bla bla ...

anyway, appreciated if guys could give me some pointers,

yeah, psp3k kinda feels weird to hold, compared to earlier psp's, seems too slim and buttons kinda lacks of space to hold, always got the psp3k to standby mode while trying to roll n dodge while playing god of war, or issit just me, .....

anyone here got guide how to stream/listen to live radio in their psp from local radio station here? like suriafm or hitz? or musicfm?

just wanna know if there is any posibility ...

my reading across some threads in lowyat brought me a question,

for psp3k models, if we always reflash-reflash the chicken and the CFW loader should we got the psp turned off or batt died,
does it brings any harm to our psp3k? i mean damage to the hardware/system ? if we constantly need to re-install the CFW

hope sifus here can help us newbies understand using CFW

so meaning bro, we just hentam la just turn off, cabut the batt or what, re-install, meaning re-flash flash our psp3k and its brothers n sisters (psp2k bla bla bla ... )
the unit wont get harm and the software wont get harm?

for example like we do on a computer, system hang kang, just format it? like dat ka bro?

little bit fobia la this flashing flashing and reinstalling ..

as i "gatal tangan" and go cabut my batt just to see the back psp3k,
doing so made me lose the CFW installed,

so, as usual i turn on the psp3k, and go to the photo in xmb, and find the tiff which suits the psp3k, la la la, chicken loads nicely in 2-3 secs,

then to see the contents in the memory card (a.k.a games) i had to load/install the loader, which in my case is the GEN-A, so ok i go load the loader then it shows like this,

"...

Press L or R to flash the custom firmware in your flash.
Press o to reboot in the custom firmware(you need have it installed)
Press /\ to exit without make nothing

... "

well, i tested pressing o, yes the games load up nicely,
i tested pressing /\, yes the loader brings me back to xmb

what i need to ask is, what will happen if i press L or R? what does it means flash the custom firmware in your flash?

b4 i was able to load chicken easy by going to photo and just open the memory card photo to load the chicken with either 1 of the thumbnails (in my case its the number 2 of 5 thumbnails)

but suddenly i cant load the chicken anymore, maybe cause i gatal tangan again go open the battery just to see the battery serials and the back of the psp,

any1 could help is appreciated, cause i tried to load up all the thumbnils and the psp just shut down when loading the thumbnails.

After trial n error (+ cannot wait to play games again) got me searching for solutions on the net, and me ended up on a few solutions, which is,


1. * Change the character set code to the US (437) or Multilingual latin 1 (850), this code are used for system access of some file types. Its most happen on PSP other than the US version.
2. * Adding 1 to 2 extra gif images, copy and paste with name e.g. ChickHENe.gif, ChickHENf.gif. Its most happen on High Speed memory stick pro duo. Fake MS or Not
3. * Don’t use the chickHen folder other than for pictures used for chickHen.
4. * Don’t change PSP Themes other than default setting, Change your theme to the default theme or use the Restore PSP to Default Settings.
5. * Try to use a different memory stick.

i changed back my themes back to the default one, and checked my char code and change back to the US (see no.1 and no.4 above)

i went back to the XMB-->photo---> and load the chicken.
after loading the chickhen --> go to games and load the enabler flash the flash (pressing L or R) and reboot the enabler.

and wee, got games back on the psp,

hope this help with others having problems flashing the psp with chickhen.

oh then, its safe i presume, on top of event like maybe i accidentally deleted any file in the memory card while in USB mode,
cause when i connect the psp3k in usb mode, i can see many files there, some like ISO, ROOT and others ...

mine tells me at system info 5.03 GEN-A (full) dunno what dat mean, b4 i flash the enabler the system tells me 5.03 ChickHEN R2

Question regarding videos,
i know we need mp4's
so i dl. the psp video 9, code some vids, and the results of the psp video 9, (the video i mean) the file name is the same as the original avi file,

question are,
where i put the mp4 file into in the psp?
in video?
or
in MS root some where in the MNV or the ANV folder?

thx if sifus can help, cause i want to bring some movies on my portable.
