Play using Garena? not play cod4 with garena lagging meh

Im not sure. Bcoz this is my 1st time joining this tourney. I juz helping to spread it. Before this, the SKOTH3, the platform using Fragnatics. I dont know why there are changing to Garena. ^^

They were supposed to use Garena for the third season as well but in the end they managed to get a server from Fragnetics.

I'll clarify.

SKOTH4 is using Fragnetics servers, not garena, as I believe garena does not support mods for CoD4 at this time.

Matches are played as such: At start of SKOTH, each team will join a group (like champions league) and will play each other team once in their group. Each week the matchup is announced by admins (1 match per week) and you contact the other team and agree on a date + time of match and book the server then go for the match. After group stage is single elimination stage.

We're using promod and mr12 ruleset, and there's quite a few malaysian teams inside so far, RnF, SwL RvG, FsN, Gr4v and Ultimate Death.

Hope others will join us as well, especially ESP, since I know team 4 enjoys playing promod as well after we had that scrim malaysian ruleset + promod

Tournament starts on 29th November 2008, it will stretched during the christmas period and chinese new year period so that all gamers can enjoy the festive season without worrying about not being able to complete their games . The tournament will end in 1st-2nd week of February.

It will be the same format as season 3.
1 game weekly to be played. (Once again, Don't worry about christmas / CNY period )

1st stage = Group Round Robin stage
2nd stage = single elimination till finals

Register fast guys, and start convincing others to register, otherwise we're just letting our own community die, it doesn't matter if you think you can't win, you'd be surprised at the amount of fun you'll have playing the game competitively.

Added on November 25, 2008, 9:43 pmand to all the promod vs malaysian ruleset people, all I have to say is, why not form a team, and experience promod yourself FULLY, before you make up your mind fully, it's really a fun ruleset.

I've played both, and while I won't comment which is superior, both are fun as heck to play.

If teams like RnF and Gr4v can join and take part in the league, why can't other malaysian clans?

It doesn't matter if you think you can't win, to be honest the prize money is quite pathetic, but we join the SKOTH tournaments because i) its a league so CONSTANT serious matches ii) it's good training iii) it's fun as heck to play different teams every week!

FsN will be joining this and i really urge the rest of the malaysian community take part and experience promod rather than the standard malaysian ruleset. RnF and ESP 4 already tried out promod and they seem to enjoy it.
Since this is an online tourny, time will be flexible as u have 1 week to arrange and play a match with your opponent. They will be breaks for christmas and CNY so no worries you all can still gamble xD

Lol, does anybody know how 2 work promod properly in a lan-based format??? Like the best promod config for Lan. Ive been using *promod_mode lan_mr13*....thats okay right? =P

and for promod if your using final release, its promod_mode knockout_mr12, as far as I know only match_ and knockout_ are valid modes now, online_ and lan_ got removed

I was at the site at 3am today, and they changed it this morning. What the shit! I thought there was enough teams.

They couldn't get any servers so the management decided to close it. Oh well, stay tuned for updates. Maybe we'll go with a community organized competition. =D
