I could think that Mortal Kombat live action is the best compared to KoFs , Street Fighter's lol.

I wonder why there's so many bad review for this movie. Anyone who goes into the cinema expecting kungfu like Ip Man will be disappointed. Its a movie based on comic books and you know that the fight scenes from chinese comics are supposed to be super outrageous.

Saw it today. I agree it was not as good as the first one but after watching the first one again on TV, I find the first one to have a lot of weaknesses too. The ending for the first one was pretty lame too. So easy to beat Hung Ba. At least the fight with Lord Godless in this one last much more longer. As for storyline, the first one is much better. Better flow. This one actually needs to cut down of the action and have more story development. It feels like the story started in the middle.

I was pretty impressed with the special effects. As for the CGI background, I have no complain. In fact I like it because it makes the movie have a graphic novel/comic book feel. In fact, the flashback scenes was pretty cool. From the trailers, I already knew it is going the 300 way, so I was expecting lots of slow-mo fights.

As for some characters being underused. I agree especially Nicholas Tse character but I think his role will be more significant in the next one. The real complains is the two heroin. A agree both are totally wasted and irritating especially Chor Chor. Serves her right to stand in the middle when 2 person is fighting.

As for the ending, if I am not mistaken, they have really followed the comic book. I hope the next one, the directors will pay more attention to the storyline instead of the action. Feels a lot like George Lucas with Episode 1 & 2. At least George Lucas redeemed himself withe the last one.
